- mikbunn, on 11/20/2008, -1/+18WHAT THE *****? Probation!? No video games!?
These kids didn't throw a house party, they tortured and killed an innocent animal for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. Put these psychopaths in jail. Forever. Animal abuse like this is one of the most prominent marks of future serial killers.
Actually, forget jail. Stick these bastards in a microwave. - mikbunn, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5I wouldn't expect you to understand hyperbole with your tenuous grasp of the English language.
My point is that for a combination of B&E, vandalism, and viciously torturing and killing an animal, a year's probation is an insanely light sentence. Imagine every single cell in your body boiling and then exploding, drawn out over ten minutes. - ryananger, on 11/20/2008, -0/+4Viva Pinata.
- Four20, on 11/20/2008, -1/+5submit the source - http://www.canada.com/edmontonjournal/news/local/s ...
- Hetman, on 11/20/2008, -2/+5Killing a cat is horrible. And their is a link between serial killers and kids who kill animals. That does not mean every kid who kills an animal will turn out to be a serial killer. However I believe putting actuall humans into a microwave and killing them would make you a serial killer yourself. Slow down their dexter.
- mikbunn, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3From Four20's link (much more in-depth article):
"The two, aged 16 and 14."
Yes, they're young. At least put them in a juvenile detention facility. Even the kid who put the cat in the microwave got probation. This is unacceptable.
And for good measure:
There. There. There. There. There. There. - floridiot2, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3"We'll teach you that putting animals in microwaves is wrong by putting you in a microwave!!"
- Jorlock, on 11/21/2008, -0/+31 year probation? They watched a helpless animal scream in agony the 10 minutes. They're sick *****. Throw them into a metal ward, jail, whatever.
I know most diggers are Atheists, but please pray that these to burn in hell. - barkus, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3You'd think banning their use of microwaves would be more appropriate.
- prime9891, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3It is just sickening that a person could find enjoyment in killing an innocent animal, with no way of defending itself, in such a horrible manner.
The fact that they watched it suffer for 10 minutes is incredibly disturbing. These ***** should be thrown in jail for a long time. - mikbunn, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2So is he goth or vampire?
- TonyLocNE, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2Jack Thompson landed a judgeship in Edmonton now? *****....
- mikbunn, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2You called me a serial killer for suggesting radiation therapy in my initial post.
- tetrapak, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2Stupid teens, nothing to do with videogames. They are trying to justify their acts, but it goes nowhere. Excuse Moi what is a serial killer playing then?
- mikbunn, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2Manhunt.
- fieldgreen, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2"The 14-year-old received nine months of probation. He hid his face behind shaggy black hair, with bangs in purple streaks that swept down across one eye to his lower lip."
- thescimitar, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3Anyone who tortures an animal to death for ten minutes in a microwave deserves daily sodomy with a bat covered in rusty razor wire.
- mikbunn, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Four20's link is much more in-depth than the Kotaku one.
- octaslash, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Let's start digging our own hole into the fiery center of the earth, then throw them into it... you know, just in case Satin's hell doesn't exist.
- gamebittk, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Why? So someone else could submit the Kotaku and be dugg to outer space? Unfortunately, an original source hardly ever hits the front page when more popular site competes with it.
- mikbunn, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Make it go all the way through. I've always wanted to bungee jump clear through the world.
- mikbunn, on 11/20/2008, -1/+1Hey, they wouldn't do it again...
And who the hell needs to be told that? - Hetman, on 11/20/2008, -1/+1Probation really does not matter. It is the therapy that is going to work. As long as they go to that when they are supposed to it will be better than all the probation and or jail time you could give them. The article does not even mention how old they are. And your hyperbole is silly you are just ranting behind a computer screen. Which is fine most of the time their is nothing better to do anyways.
- Hetman, on 11/20/2008, -2/+1I will use any they'r that I please. Therapy is always better than a detention facility. This country needs to rehabilitate these kids not cause them more harm. And that is exactly what a juvenile detention center will cause. I understand you want punishment. But that is not what these kids need. They need therapy.
