- wardrox, on 08/23/2008, -4/+343The Joker doesn't play by the rules.

- inactive, on 08/23/2008, -8/+251Why a .gif instead of a video with sound?
- foolosophy, on 08/23/2008, -3/+228I'd rather have his magic trick...
- lardoandkeg, on 08/23/2008, -1/+142No way. The comedic value of the joke transitioning into the psychotic head shot is perfect.
- electrolemon, on 08/24/2008, -0/+136He definitely put a smile on my face.
- magicmarc, on 08/23/2008, -10/+138FINISH HIM!
- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -0/+104TADA!
- pdavda, on 08/24/2008, -1/+93Or maybe he could put a smile on that face
- cchott1, on 08/24/2008, -4/+88That is so wrong. :)
- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -3/+76Sound, extra moves, and fatality in "HD"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXBsw4rBTC8 - mastersquirrel3, on 08/23/2008, -15/+86I wish the roll out bang banner shot out of the gun and got stuck in the other persons head, but this is cool too.
- Sabretou, on 08/24/2008, -6/+76Nobody panics when things go according to plan. Even if the plan is horrifying. If tomorrow I tell the press that like a gang banger, will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all, part of the plan. But when I say that one, little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!
- ThantiK, on 08/24/2008, -2/+71Animated GIF's are the new Flash.
- stevenk87, on 08/24/2008, -13/+76BS, it should have been the pencil trick.
- ryborg, on 08/24/2008, -4/+68David Blaine reviews video games now?
- pacokorn77, on 08/24/2008, -3/+50There was no pencil in brokeback...
o_O
...I hate you. - bysin, on 08/24/2008, -38/+83After the finishing move, the Joker dies of a drug overdose.
- RespectableGuy, on 08/24/2008, -26/+69He also managed to make a bunch of pills disappear.
- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -7/+49Wait, so we're allowed to make fun of the death of a respectable, talented actor (Heath Ledger) but not a slimy douchebag politician (Tony Snow)? Sometimes I just don't understand the logic of Digg...
- Hinducow28, on 08/24/2008, -2/+43It's all part of the plan
- staticneuron, on 08/24/2008, -3/+36You expect a gang banger or a soldier to get shot because of what they deal with on a daily basis. A mayor isn't involved on the frontlines with crime or war so it becomes unsettling.
The thing is.......... everyone is susceptible to being shot but because it isn't normal, people lull themselves into forgetting their own mortality. Almost convince themselves that accidents or random acts of violence do not happen.
When something of that nature does happen, people panic because it breaks the norm and then everyone is on edge. Perfect example was 9/11. There were so many people afraid that they were a target that it wasn't even funny. Their fears weren't rational either. A terrorist is most likely to attack something public that everyone can identify with. If the terrorist decided to attack big sams sub shop on the corner of 5th and wiles in nowhere , mid usa it wouldn't provoke the same type of fear that 9/11 did. - whatthefu, on 08/24/2008, -2/+34That wouldn't have been nearly as awesome! At first you think, 'oh *****' because it's a fatality and no one is dying violently, and then he pulls out a real gun and pops them in the head.
- Recluse84, on 08/24/2008, -1/+33Wow I didn't think I'd like this game until that moment. I laugh every time he does it.
- Klowner, on 08/24/2008, -0/+30But I find this far more chilling than the original fatalities, the way he dances around with glee is just.. creepy
- Lucifugerising, on 08/24/2008, -0/+29It is rated teen and the no fatality rule only applies to DC heroes.
Villians and MK characters are the only ones who have fatalities,
while DC heroes, brutalities. (they beat the ***** out of the opponent till they fall) - Shrubber, on 08/24/2008, -5/+32@RespectableGuy:
That is even MORE wrong...but still funny. - ry4nsm1th, on 08/24/2008, -1/+27It's simple, kill the Batman.
- poet, on 08/24/2008, -2/+27That's the highest quality HD I've ever seen.
- wracker92, on 08/24/2008, -1/+25Now that's a cool use of a DC character doing a Mortal Kombat fatality. If the rest of the game has this sort of creativity behind it I'll be dropping my cash on it. Can you imagine Darkseid dropping a fatality on Superman?
- OstrakonX, on 08/24/2008, -1/+23@genome:
Ah, ***** off, he would have laughed at that. - Omali, on 08/24/2008, -10/+32He shot her in the head...that's not really blowing her head off.
- Dundasbro, on 08/24/2008, -0/+21Are you saying that Batman would have to break his one rule?
- pdavda, on 08/24/2008, -1/+21Maybe because the video has sound and it shows you an actual fight.
- Jorlock, on 08/24/2008, -1/+21@r3negadeX
You're allowed to type anything you want, the only thing you have to fear is someone clicking on the red button. - crichton101, on 08/24/2008, -0/+17You don't know much about the DC universe do you? DC's not big on super heroes who kill. And it really wouldn't make sense for Batman or Superman to have a Fatality.
- solistus, on 08/24/2008, -0/+17staticneuron did a good job explaining. "The plan" is not the _speaker's_ plan (e.g., to kill the mayor); it's the concept that the whole world operates according to a coherent system of rules, regulations, and so forth. When something horrible happens in a manner sanctioned by the "system" - casualties in a war, execution of prisoners, etc. - nobody panics, no matter how horrific the action of the system is. The extreme examples would be situations like Nazi Germany or genocides in general. If the state kills a million people in an orderly fashion, people will often fall in line and accept it, deny it's happening or just ignore it. If even the slightest 'bad' thing happens in a way that is clearly not controlled by 'the powers that be,' such as a terrorist attack or a random act of violence, people will overreact. The idea is basically that our responses to perceived threats are anything but rational, and are shaped more by social conditioning than any reasonable attempt to keep ourselves safe. Nolan's version of The Joker is basically a radical and rather nihilistic anarchist; his goal is not to make money or to kill people for fun or anything of the sort, but to shake up the status quo.
- swanny89, on 08/24/2008, -0/+17I think its because a fatality occurs when the opponent is incapacitated already, meaning that the heroes job is done. To kill them at that point would be very un-hero like.
- atlex2, on 08/24/2008, -2/+19You've got it all wrong.
The TV in clip is the HD part. - TheXuu, on 08/24/2008, -0/+16@poet you must have comcast!
- mv1008, on 08/24/2008, -5/+20for the lolz

- havokdu, on 08/24/2008, -1/+14Sub-zero's ice teleport is awesome. (check beginning of the video)
- strictnein, on 08/24/2008, -1/+14But that would have made it M
- whyisntcakesin, on 08/24/2008, -0/+13well, think of it in these terms. there are literally millions of different influences on your daily life, and as you get older, your perception of these influences changes. It simply seems that your perception of violence is changinga bit. This means nothing beyond the fact that you are not the same person you once were. Perhaps you have a new respect for death, perhaps you lost someone close to you, or perhaps you have a better comprehension of what it is to actually die; as a child, you thought it was slapstick fun, but now you comprehend the deeper tones to a loss of life. Either way, don't let it get to you, just as your diet of your youth has likely changed, so do many other things.
- Spandia, on 08/24/2008, -4/+17If Street Fighter 4 doesn't make you "take notice" you need to get out of the genre.
- cyrix, on 08/24/2008, -1/+13If it meant me seeing him behead Sub Zero with a batarang..... it would so be worth it and you know it.
- sleepwalkers, on 08/24/2008, -2/+14I'm not sure what you're talking about, since the gunshot to the head definitely produced blood.
