- ggarenn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+258it's "losing" not "loosing"
come on people. at least spell the titles correctly. - WabiWasabi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+133Asked to comment by GamePolitics, Thompson said: "A referee is appointed and we have a trial. The Supreme Court reviews it later. The trial isn’t going to happen, however. I have sued The Bar in Circuit Court. It’s in far more trouble than I am."
You know, reading through the email excerpts from the complaints against Thompson, it's hard to believe he got his JD. Sounds like ramblings from a 13yo WOW guild leader. (Yeah, now all the 13yo guild leaders are gonna rank me down :-) - Osiriscky3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+72MORE DOTS!
- cowardlydragon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+53"Loosing his license"? Are you kidding me?
If he looses his license, does that mean it's loost? - codemeister, on 10/12/2007, -2/+48loosing != losing
- Langford, on 10/12/2007, -1/+44It may come as a surprise to many, but politicians usually aren't very bright.
- TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+42COME ON FOLKS
JackThompsonDig's avatar is my little pony with a penis for a horn
OBVIOUSLY thats not Jack Thompson - ggarenn, on 10/12/2007, -7/+48@ JackThompsonDig
***** you.
sue me. - TomP, on 10/12/2007, -7/+47Jack Thompson finally loosing his license?
... We can only hope. - cyberwarriorx, on 10/12/2007, -11/+47I'm burying this precisely because of the use of "loosing". For crying out loud, spell it right people.
- stealpick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33"Losing," dammit! Not "loosing!"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+39Once again the Digg community prvoes to have the intelligence level of a 7 year old.
IT IS NOT LOOSING! How hard it is to grasp 2nd grade spelling? Seriously? - Zoids, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30It'd be ironic if he made his money by selling MMORPG items on eBay.
- zaid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Intelligent people don't jump to false conclusions about video games being the end of the world. That statement is like saying he's morally right, but just not competent enough to pull off a win in court...
- SimonC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Man, that license was so tight... :)
- wonboodoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22I propose a new addition to the Digg "bury" choices: "Idiot doesn't know how to spell 'lose'". I think it will be Digg's most popular link.
- welt, on 10/12/2007, -7/+28please dear jesus, let this be true.
- xNaquada, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21I hope you can see this Thompson, because I'm doing it as hard as I can.

- beguiledfoil, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19No, no.. he's loosing his ability to practice law upon us all. Not sure why this is news, but that must be what Toco meant... I mean what kind of idiot doesn't know the difference between loose and lose?
Oh, right.. the entire ***** internet doesn't know the difference. - LesPaul75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Your all retarded. You should of realized it by now. But now its too late. Their is nothing you can do. To bad.
- ziffel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Thank goodness you guys are digging up these loose/lose comments. I was beginning to wonder if I was the last person alive who was still spelling it correctly. It drives me nuts.
- netdawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Well I'm glad because a tight license is very uncomfortable.
- cfpresley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Inaccurate. Spelling is terrible. Losing is the correct spelling. Geez, of all the duplicate articles there must be, the one with the bad spelling gets to the top?
- SleeStaK911, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14It seems you share the same frustration over this insane 'lose/loose' syndrome as I.
This is in the top 3 typos in the internet blogging community, and I would venture to guess that it has to be the cause of at least one death somewhere around the world!
Seriously, was this omitted from a major scholastic curriculum somewhere, and now we are seeing the repercussions?
This Digg will surely shift focus from the license to this word... - Firehed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14@Slee - it's not even a top typo, it's just a top mis-spelling. "teh" is a typo; people still know how to spell "the". People have no idea that "lose" (ie, to misplace) is spelled that way, not "loose" (ie, the kind of women geeks need). Let's please not confuse typing issues with stupidity.
- BrainInAJar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14"How do politicians still ask him for advice?"
well the easy answer is that politicians go looking for people to back up their beliefs, rather than looking for what's right based on outside advice - omaryak, on 10/12/2007, -9/+21Don't loose your bowels over it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15"Sounds like ramblings from a 13yo WOW guild leader"
sounds like the kind of people who actually pay attention to him - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Hey Ashkc88, I am the real Jack Thompson. If you don't believe me look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nut_%28fruit%29
That's enough evidence for anybody. - Mooky555, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9How can people not figure out the difference between losing and loosing... I don't get it... seriously... what the *****...
- Klowner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Maybe if he'd stop stretching the thing out all the time this wouldn't be happening
- rm999, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Ashkc88
You did insinuate that liberals don't care about 1st amendment rights when you said "protecting the 1st amendment is a conservative action". I realize you meant to say conservatives believe in 1st amendment rights, but you worded it as a conservative action. Most mainstream politicians believe in first amendment rights because our country was founded on it. It is more of a libertarian issue, IMO.
BTW, it was George W Bush who famously said "Even Freedom should have Limits." He meant it about what people were saying and writing - exactly what the 1st amendment is there to protect. - titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Title Grammar says it all.
- FullMetalMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8WooHOO! Break out the Danish Chicks and Imported Wine Folks, Cause Jack Thomson is losing his license!
- revisrev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Why stop at good and honest lawyers? I think it's also gonna take a Spider-man, Goku, Master Shake, the entire Justice League, and whatever other fictional characters we can get a hold of.
- DeejayLupo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'm only in this thread to digg up the people pointing out the misspelling of the word "lose".
Folks, if you ever want to be respected in the world, learn to spell. - rm999, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Ashkc88
My point was that most mainstream politicians believe strongly in 1st amendment rights, and it is not a party issue. I don't care if Jack is a liberal - he's insane. I feel the same way about Bush. I repeat: it's not about liberal vs conservative. You are the ONLY person in this thread who is trying to make it into that. - Toco8804, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8In this they didn't include the complaint filed against him by a Florida judge over the bully case.
How do politicians still ask him for advice? - ElCazador, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@FatShady:
Um, I agree with the sentiment, but in this case a spell checker wouldn't help, because "loose" is a real word. Spell check doesn't know it's the "wrong" word.
Here's a radical idea: How about people start using their frickin' BRAIN?
P.S. Spell check DID catch "frickin". I stand corrected. - hcl40u, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Looks like loose is the new lose.
- Flummoxer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Wtf are you talking about Ashkc88? Liberalism does not advocate limiting the rights of individuals.
Definition of liberalism - "a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual." - BuckFoston, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Don't forget of/have...
"I should of done that." - wrong
"I should have done that" - correct - Quantumsparrow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Oh no, LesPaul! You used one of those "to/too/two's" correctly!

- wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Be nice if he gets disbarred. Be even better if he was able to get 10 years in poundmeintheass penitentiary, but unfortunately you don't get hard time for being an *****.
It would be awesome of the decision read something like:
"We find the allegations in the complaint are substantially true. We hereby order the Mr. Jack Thompson to surrender his license to practice law in the State of Florida. Pwned, you n00b. plz l3rn 2 d0 law." -
