- CanadianGeese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+112Does Jack Thompson ever win? I don't even worry about him anymore. He's like that fly that gets into the house. He buzzes around annoyingly and you can never catch it, but it never really hurts anything either. Eventually, I'll find him lying dead by the window and I'll just throw him away like the rest of my trash.

I hate bloggers with such a ***** grasp of the English language.
Would of != Would have. Idiot.
/grammar nazi - lee85il, on 10/12/2007, -1/+34That is a great analogy, I really like that.
- roosterjm2k2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+26bhavi...
I do the same, except that once it's down, and after the dance, i kneel down repeatedly to teabag it....
...
In other news: anyone read the files? Thompson's email is on his submitted document... his email is "amendmentone@...(look it up if you want...im not posting the whole thing, he's insane and sues everyone...)"
Would that fact that his email is Amendment One, and his whole legal purpose is to remove the right of people to excersize their First Amendment rights, qualify for irony on a moronic level? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25Jack Thompson isn't good enough for my trash.
- bhavi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Actually I sort of corner the fly; spray it with deodrant. Once it starts choking and stays on the ground I do a 'Who's buzzing now bitch?' dance. After which i proceed to get the fly on a piece of paper and throw it out. It still lives of course, and I get a sense of satisfaction.
- SnuKs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15He should sue himself for being an idiot. I'm sure he'll win that one.
- airwalkery2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I hope he keeps this up so he looks even more like a pandering bafoon and the Bar takes away his license.
- kurtwinter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11You owe all the houseflies an apology.
- CraigJ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Jack who? Really, isn't this loser irrelevant?
- an0nymous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Have they? This is all it says in wikipedia:
In February 2007, the Florida Bar filed disbarment proceedings against Thompson over allegations of professional misconduct. The action was the result of separate grievances filed by people claiming that Thompson made defamatory, false statements and attempted to humiliate, embarrass, harass or intimidate them
Please confirm that he has been disbarred. This would be happy-making. - hikaruzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Here's the deal with that:
Apparently, a complaint was filed that was ultimately assigned to a judge to hear the case. His report is due by September 17th. If the complaint is upheld, Jack Thompson could face professional sanctions including the loss of his license to practice law.
(Amen.) - TheKricket, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@canadiangeese - honestly, this is the first time ive ever wished i could digg someone up more than once
brilliant! - FizixMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Good news involving Jack Thompson? A rarity indeed. Dugg!
- TheWretched, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5He seriously should be billed for wasting the legal systems time and everyone elses for that matter.
- NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I was thinking more along the lines of L. Ron Hubbard.
He's become so enamored with the world of fiction that he created and surrounded himself with that he's started to believe it's true. - keitho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4if that is his address at the bottom of the dismissal, then its published by the state and is state/federal records so it doesn't matter if a game website posts a link to it. he knew it would be publicly available when he submitted it.
- unrealmp3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nice analogy, I'll remember that one :)
- unusualbob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3send him video game newsletters.
- doshindude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Jack reminds me of Dr. Eggman: he never wins, but he always attempts to come back for more, thinking that this time, he might succeed when he knows he won't.
- lee85il, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1I apologize I read a misleading article. I see the truth is that he is under a probation. close but no cigar
- Inverno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Roosterjm
He claims to be a defender of the first amendment..through censorship. He'll make the proclamation whenever someone mentions the 1st. I don't follow his logic, but I have been trying this 'sanity' thing out. - Inverno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Because he's good at arguing a point? I think the dude's about as with it as an Alzheimer's patient on a morphine drip, but he sure knows how to argue.
- crossmr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1its amazing, if you're going to create blog spam out of ***** that has already been on Slashdot, maybe you should go ***** read the comments. Had you, you would have realized that the lawsuit wasn't thrown out.
idiot. - zoolander, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What an ass goblin. I bet I get sued for calling him a name online. sheesh. mwahahahahahahahaha. *****.
- echonull, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1According to the Judge's letter (http://www.gamepolitics.com/images/JT-FL-oops.pdf ), it seems that only the second and third amendments to the claim were stricken, which I believe from the original complaint (http://kotaku.com/assets/resources/2007/04/Thompson%20v.%20Bar%2C%20Third%20Amended%20Complaint%2C%20April%2025%2C%202007.pdf ) refers to the addition of that Judge that claimed JT's whole thing was a matter of propaganda, and Kotaku/Gawker for that whole mess, respectively.
IANAL; would someone care to check my amateur readings on this? As I see it, his case wasn't dismissed, but the attempt to amend his suit to include a judge and Gawker was stricken pending proper procedure. - AreTooDeTo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it just seems to me that he is a really big whiner, and is always complaining about something. he isn't doing anything for his cause anymore, he is just getting really annoying, and personally i think he is hurting his own cause.
- freakgd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I think he deserves an award for getting owned so many times in the last 30 days.
guiness, ripley's ?
something? - SmashedRat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All work and no wins makes Jack a dull Douche
- Hobofuzz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Why isn't there some Bar requirement stating that you must win at least one case within ten years of passing the exam and becoming a licensed lawyer, or you lose your license?
I mean COME ON, isn't it obvious Jack, law isn't for you! - LockeLimeMiasma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0shame on you!
houseflies are better than that,
consorting with Jack Thompson!
the very essence of Thompson
is unworthy of even the time we take to
type his name and utter curse against him. - Junkyarddawg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Is it really illegal to post someones name and phone number?
- Maluka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0He's a tool, he's a fool, how'd he ever get through law school?
There are so many links to this story I gave up reading. Enough is enough is enough! - cljordan1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Is it really necessary to submit yet another Jack Thompson story??
- eXk0n, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Go home and cry Jack, because what you're feeling know is going to happen all the time in your life.
- thaiguy333, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0PWNED!
- albinoMithos, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Jack Thompson reminds me of Team Rocket from the original Pokemon cartoon. I mean most of the time he shows up to mess stuff up somebody almost always manages to blast him off to oblivion. I can only hope that he screams out "Looks like I'm blasting off again!!!!" every time he gets his ass handed to him.
- lee85il, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1They already have, now all he is, is a media spokesperson against electronic media.
- Butt3rs, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3joo just gotz Al Ca-pwned
