- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3i just don't understand how people could be so biased against a company that has done more for gaming in the past 14 years than ANY OTHER COMPANY. Without Sony there would be no xbox, and we would all be playing our wii (or possibly a sega system) so pay some respect where it is due.
- Topher06, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3Not biased, just bought and paid for. GOW2 was reviewed highly, yet actual fans of the series found many faults with the game, same with Halo 3. GTA4 was reviewed as PERFECT by many critics, yet the game had obvious serious flaws.
If there is one thing I know Sony doesn't buy reviews as most of the reviews tend to be either overly critical, or just realistic. A PS3 game given a rating of 87% with some realistic criticisms makes more sense to me then rating Halo 3 or GOW2 100% and saying there is nothing wrong with those games, and I am sure many Xbox fanboys would agree with me those games were rated too highly and their flaws overlooked. Not saying there are not fanboy critics on both sides of the fence, but IGN and 1Up and a slew of the big review sites tend to favour Microsoft over Sony.
I think Killzone 2 is going to be a great game, unfortuneately it will be immediately compared to GOW1 and 2 and the Xbox360 biased media will most likely never give Killzone 2 the recognition it should deserve, granted that the game better deliver on the hype its been promising, or I will be among the first to tear it a new one. - apothekari, on 01/07/2009, -4/+1Bitch,Bitch,Bitch.
Look , The "Media" as well as almost all gamers have bitched for the last 10 months that the Wii's library isn't worth a bucket of warm spit {myself included}.
But the folks buying the Wii in record numbers apparently could give a rats ass.{I already sold mine because the library sucks so bad}
BUT
The PS3 is unfortunately in last place and last gen it was first, It's still the most expensive console to get started on, all these things HAVE to be overcome,and the reviews reflect that.
If the media posts a 360 review it has to overcome the "RROD","Xbox live costs money everyone else is free" type albatross hung around it's neck.
Get over it already and enjoy your PS3 and it's exclusive new game!
