- ripper365, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28Looks about like Wii graphics. (I own a Wii and love it)
- kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27good ole EB...
- tyler71, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24EB must be hiring "special" employees again...
- timmymmit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15consider it sold
- ch4os1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12jesus we killed the board already :(
- assassinmaids, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12lol I actually think the cover gives it a certain charm, since when has a cover ever been indicative of the game play anyway?
- Cyberen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11best cover EVER.
- Snakedal337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Heh i'm actually amused by it, sure beats the plain old "TITLE IN BIG BOLD LETTERS"
- h4mx0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Reminds me of that PC game... Evidence or something. It's packaged like real evidence. I didn't even know it was a game until I got closer.
- charlie55, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4right, you dont actually purchase that copy, they are just telling you they have the game. bring it to the front and they get a copy from the lock-thing.
- RadioFiasco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Someone grew painfully bored at work...
- defectDS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3HA! I remember going to EB to get a Dance Pad (hehe). I went home, took it out of the box and noticed that the sticky pads on the bottom were dirty and the pad was ripped on the side. There were also a couple of gross long hairs stuck on the stickys and all over the place. I took it back and they guaranteed it was new, but they replaced it anyway after some talk.
Crazy kids! - b3mus3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dude, I would totally buy a game with graphics like that.
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Come back tomorow when you've found your sense of humor.
- Vision2098, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3EB/GameStop are hurting the industry of a hobby many people love.
We should give it a rest why now? - kiduk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3At the store my friend works at, they just have empty cases out on the shelves to represent the number of actual copies they have. Still funny, though.
- Hiki, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3looks more like someone took the cover off of an empty case. so now we have DOUBLE the reason to complain
- bobbknight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It reminds me of the old days back at software etc, where we would take a return and re shrink wrap it and sell it as new, viruses and all.
Back in them days you could buy a game take it home and use it and return it for your money back. - uglymike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Excite 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0
- Billistic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What are you an EB fanboy?
The issue is where else am I supposed to buy used games? Wal-Mart? Zellers?
The problem is these guys sort of have a monopoly on the used games market, there are a few other places privately owned, flea markets and I think blockbuster also trades in and sells used games and they've all somehow agreed that used games should basically be priced about 10 bucks below the cost of the new copy of the same game and that's after they've just paid you 6 bucks for it. - Billistic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Jeep owners are fan boys.
http://hellomynameisscott.blogspot.com/2004/07/its-jeep-thingyou-wouldnt-understand.html - edburton6801, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not a "plant". is it so hard to believe that I have no hidden agenda with what I'm saying? Is it possible that this is just what I think? Must there be more to it? I assure you, there isn't. I'm trying to bring a realistic perspective to this. DimensionWarped... what's the deal? Did you get fired from a gamestop or something?
- DimensionWarped, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0EdBurton6801 is most assuredly not a fanboy. He is actually a plant. Who aside from a plant would adamantly defend a retailer that is absolutely begging for an anti-trust case... no one. Thats who.
- edburton6801, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1you call me a "fanboy" like that's supposed to hurt my feelings or insult me. Yes, I like Gamestop. Whooptie friggin do! Big deal! I thought it would be obvious by what I wrote. I get game informer, I have one of their discount cards, and I save a lot of money by shopping there.... OOoooooooohhhhh.... WOW, that must make me a "fanboy". Seriously, are you 12 years old? I also have a jeep.... am I a Jeep fanboy? I get all of my groceries from Dominick's... am I a Dominicks fanboy too!!!?? I also eat pizza (italian fanboy?) and have an xbox 360. I also have ....(wait for it) 3 EXTRA 360 CONTROLLERS!! I subscribe to xbox live too! Does that make me a Microsoft fanboy????
give it a rest.
And, so what if Gamestop is the market leader. This IS the United States the last time I checked. Whatever they've done has helped them become successful. And, now that they are, it seems to really "upset" some of you. WHY!? Again... if you don't like them, DON'T SHOP THERE. Quit crying about it, and go buy your games at the flea market and blockbuster like you were saying. - edburton6801, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1lame. Seriously, not EVERYONE who owns jeep is some sort of fanboy. Just how not everyone who likes gamestop is a "plant" or a "fanboy" or something. this is so lame. It's not even a jeep wrangler or anything "edgy"... It's a jeep liberty, and I use it as a family vehicle. I'm not off 4 wheeling in the desert or something.
So, can someone actually respond to what I've REALLY been writing about? Why is there such negativity towards Gamestop? It seems childish - rm999, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1What a terrible game. If someone is stupid enough to buy that, even with an intact cover, he deserves what he gets.
- bluflame, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I think that I should start on a whole series of those for when I get my Wii (which is soon).
- Ovitz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4You guys bitch when they open a copy and put the empty case out, and now your bitching because they didn't? Give me a break...
- therearenorules, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1that's how the actual cover art should be. it's exciting! (haha.. that was lame)
- edburton6801, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1UGH!
Listen: if you don't like Gamestop or EB, just don't buy things there. In the meantime, would everyone please give this topic a rest??? Gamestop specializes in selling USED games that have been traded in to their stores. They also sell new games too. The "new" copy of excite truck there is just a placeholder to represent the store's inventory. That way what's on the display wall represents what locked up behind the counter. And, yes... once ALL NEW and USED copies are sold, customers have an option to buy the opened one at the new price. BIG DEAL. Nobody makes anyone shop there. If someoene doesn't want to buy a "gutted" new game and they need to peal off the plastic from the case themselves, then go to wal-mart or best buy to pick up your copy. Losing that kind of sale isn't the end of the world for EB and Gamestop. ... just, when you're finished playing that game and want to try and trade it back in at Best Buy or Wal-Mart... know that you'll be disappointed. You can only do that at GAMESTOP and EB.
Gamestop is what it is. It's a business. Shop there, don't shop there, whatever. But, would everyone quit their bitching about Gamestop and EB? your complaints are so trivial. Whether it's the empty display boxes or complaints about the trade in value of games... just give it a rest. Please quit being so picky and sensitive. What's the big deal? Is what they do REALLY so bad? - OmniMe, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Super Paper Excite Truck
- DesolataX, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Seems like EB will try to pawn anything off as "new."
- Zuzubar, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1The excite truck is loading painfully slow! :(
- BlackCow, on 10/12/2007, -6/+150 bucks for a Wii game?! Psh, im not buying the Wii now.

Thanks. - psg188, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Mirror anyone?
- dxprog, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1www.duggmirror.com
- Platysquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3If the truck was going the right way, would it have been as excite [sic]?
- Microfoot, on 10/12/2007, -13/+5Doesn't matter really, considering the real copies are behind the counter. Still a very amusing image, though.
- phantomgrave, on 10/12/2007, -15/+3Haha, they could have at least drew the truck going in the right direction... >_>
