- fac51, on 10/11/2008, -6/+65In space no one can hear your echo!
- MikeSetera, on 10/12/2008, -10/+41Echo the Dolphin
- xbxoxy1, on 10/12/2008, -4/+33must...resist....buying.....EA products
- tbredofsin, on 10/12/2008, -0/+29My wallet will never forgive the gaming industry for this year.
- Harbinger67, on 10/12/2008, -6/+32You don't have to buy it; it's coming out for PC.
- tbredofsin, on 10/12/2008, -1/+25Despite my sardonic comment, I really like game developers making good games, and want them to continue doing so. So no thanks, I'm not going to spit in their faces by pirating them.

- massivepanda, on 10/10/2008, -10/+26Echo, Echo, Echo, Echo, Echo
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -2/+18I've been on digg forever and haven't seen it once.
- rodrigo74, on 10/12/2008, -4/+20It is Ecco the Dolphin ;)
- twistadias, on 10/12/2008, -1/+15When theres no comment on an article. Digg shows the following phrase "Its quiet in here. Can you hear the echo?"
- InfernoX, on 10/10/2008, -8/+21ECHO!!!
- paOol, on 10/12/2008, -3/+14sonic the hedgehog
- MillionsLivio, on 10/12/2008, -0/+10From all the game footage, trailers, interviews, and reviews I've seen so far, it's the exact opposite. In fact, it seems from the interviews the guys tried hard to not fall into cliches like Doom 3. Everything I've heard about the game so far is how it is all about the atmosphere, as if it slowly consumes you and the tension builds. Which is exactly what a horror game should be like. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint as I've been looking forward to this for quite awhile.
- smackjack, on 10/12/2008, -2/+11I'm pretty sure it's about how the same person made the front page like 6 times in a row
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -1/+10How about instead of getting dugg down, someone explains wtf is going on.
- da_bradler, on 10/12/2008, -5/+14I dunno, dead space is all about popping out and yelling "boo!". But there is no real freaky atmosphere type stuff. it's hard to be scared of an aliens when you are constantly fighting and dominating them.
it's the same kinda "scare" as doom 3, your tense just because you don't know where the next monster closet is or when a enemy will spawn behind you.
Eternal Darkness still to me is the scariest game around, nothing is scarier to a gamer then a game that tricks you into thinking you just accidentally deleted your save file. - AltF3, on 10/12/2008, -1/+9Don't worry, the ridiculous DRM they'll put on the game will keep you from buying it.
- inactive, on 01/30/2009, -3/+11I catch your drift, but we're talking about EA here.
- tbredofsin, on 10/12/2008, -6/+13*Shrug*. EA is making an effort to improve. I'd hate to punish them for it.
- thegoldenavatar, on 10/12/2008, -0/+6Just do what I do. Decide which ones you really want and play those. Then hold off for price drops on the others for early to middle next year, when the inevitable gaming drought hits.
- kelsosmythe, on 10/12/2008, -5/+11Echo & the Bunnymen
- strictnein, on 10/12/2008, -0/+6So, you and your friend are going to sit in a dark room and defecate in your pants?
- passedoutghost, on 10/12/2008, -3/+9Best comment ever.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+6It's a moronic meme Digg is known for, like will it blend/run crysis/etc
- volacide, on 10/12/2008, -1/+6No. It's pretty simple. Stop ***** buying Madden and start buying more Dead Space. Of course they're going to shovel out ***** when it sells so ***** well.
- IceColdFreezie, on 10/12/2008, -1/+6Oh totally. Because Doom had strategic dismemberment, zero gravity, a flashlight that works, was third person, had no HUD, etc.
Oh wait. It didn't. - passedoutghost, on 10/12/2008, -0/+5@KevinRWright: Just because he signed up last year, doesn't mean he hasn't been reading the stories and comment before that. I was reading digg 2 years before I signed up.
- eraser34, on 10/11/2008, -9/+14Toyota Echo!
- PhantomZmoove, on 10/12/2008, -0/+5No the DRM isn't there to keep you from buying it, its only there to keep you from playing it once you buy it.
- Natetendo83, on 10/12/2008, -1/+5wow seriously stop replying with Dental Plan...it wasn't funny the first few times and now it's just retarded...go away.
- jerrycan, on 10/12/2008, -3/+7Mr. Echo
- ColinZeal, on 10/12/2008, -2/+6Can´t wait to get to ***** my pants
- quasipolymath, on 10/12/2008, -1/+5So you've played it?
- SSUK, on 10/12/2008, -0/+4I take it it stems from the fact it's a story on the main page without any comments. As such the default message ends with "Can you hear the echo?"
It's a jab at how the Digg algorithm works. Too many stories by the same submitter getting dugg up without any comments, leading many to believe that bots are digging up stories submitted by websites themselves to promote their content and drive traffic.
This and bury brigades need to be abolished from Digg. I don't care how, something has to be done. It's getting stupid on both counts. - Dielaughing, on 10/12/2008, -2/+5They haven't said anything about their DRM scheme as far I can tell. And I'm really worried about that. So I'm hoping I won't have to buy it for my Xbox, cause PC gaming is great.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -6/+9What's up with the "Echo" comments?
- JustinHopewell, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3All right, someone explain the connection between echoes and dental plans, because I'm completely baffled.
- uskomaton, on 10/12/2008, -0/+3Well, it's most likely made up by some lifeless moron who has too much time on their hands. And I thought I was a lot on Digg when I have it up 8 hours at work. I guess there are advantages to living in your moms basement.
- madk, on 10/12/2008, -0/+3I got to check out a pre-release copy and I couldn't put it down. Great atmosphere and fundamentally sound. Nothing like stomping the limps off of your fallen enemies.
- bnitro, on 10/12/2008, -0/+3Kinky
- IceColdFreezie, on 10/12/2008, -0/+2I would suggest playing it alone, not with a friend. Otherwise you won't be truly immersed and reach maximum *****

- trevorh, on 10/12/2008, -3/+5Lisa needs braces
- lordtyros, on 10/12/2008, -0/+2I've noticed companies are wising up and we don't see the midyear gaming drought anymore. I guess they finally realized that if you release all the good games around Christmas, some will get lost in the shuffle.
- Ultomato, on 10/12/2008, -1/+3all you need to know about this game: it's published by EA
fixed it for you - davidjunit, on 10/12/2008, -1/+3Really? If it's like DOOM3 then I won't bother. I'm hoping for something with a more mellow environment that scares me because it's eerily quiet.

- FFXIfrohike, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2"You're having a good time, and then BAM! Something happens and you jump out of your seat. "
Wow, now that's innovation... No one else is getting the impression this is a lame clone with a different setting? -
