- ThankTheCheese, on 12/03/2007, -1/+44Boy, Eidos is really playing hardball with this Kane & Lynch game. It screams of overcompensation to me -- they must have known it was a turkey and are now trying hard to build hype and sell copies.
- badenglishihave, on 12/03/2007, -2/+45BOOBIES! Kane and Lynch = 11/10!!!
- FriskDown, on 12/03/2007, -4/+46I kind of got that impression from the words "Giant Playboy Ad," thanks.
- LordoftheFly, on 12/03/2007, -4/+36I know I'd be less pissed off about the whole Gamespot debacle if some hot young thing (preferably female) were showing me some mamary glands.
- EvilDr.X, on 12/03/2007, -1/+31Is there ever a reason to be an *****? I mean, isn't that what being an ***** is all about?
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -2/+30playboy, knl & ign in the headline, this story is gonna hit the front page faster than they pulled jeff's review
- DreKor, on 12/03/2007, -2/+30Can we assume you also wanted her to be human?
- GoneSouth, on 12/03/2007, -0/+18Uhhh so ? You're morally outraged that they're using hot chicks to sell video games? . Yawn.
- TheDreadDiggerD, on 12/03/2007, -1/+19Well, I personally find Condi Rice ugly, but I guess some people do have weird alien reptile overlord fetishes.
- airwalkery2k, on 12/03/2007, -5/+20Playboy Ad doesn't give it away.
- Grumps, on 12/03/2007, -0/+12Direct link to the site! The ad is still there
http://kaneandlynch.ign.com/ - kickcows, on 12/03/2007, -1/+9Yes.
- tektalk, on 12/03/2007, -12/+18WARNING: Links slightly NSFW.
- taosd, on 12/03/2007, -4/+10Wow, I mean, this whole thing with Jeff getting fired sucks and all... but I particularly like how you say a game sucks ass, yet, you've never even played it. Way to go, retard!
- kriminalintent, on 12/03/2007, -2/+8are digg user getting payed to submit Kane & Lynch stories?
- mlvassallo, on 12/03/2007, -1/+6Um, you don't remember October... or as it was renamed Halober?
- aggies11, on 12/03/2007, -1/+6To be fair, you don't have to actually eat a turd sandwich to know that it's going to taste like *****...
- whatthefu, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4I hope this Kane and Lynch thing doesn't make people hate IO Interactive. They made a mediocre game and their parent company is being a douche about it, but Hitman is still awesome.
- keeganspeck, on 12/03/2007, -2/+6I, for one, am intrigued.
EDIT: DO NOT SEARCH, IT ISN'T WORTH IT - s0medantastic, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4Well, you and that guy from Gamers Temple who gave it 84/100.
- krische, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4You mean its not common for video games to have their own flavor of Mountain Dew?
- creep303, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4Any publicity is good publicity. Seriously, if this is really a bad game, this community should stop all discussion about it and let it die the natural death it should have.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -3/+788 Diggs and down.
From another source: http://www.n4g.com/News-89651.aspx - BooostedAWD, on 12/03/2007, -3/+6What? This must be one of those optical illusions. I can't seem to find the Kane & Lynch ad anywhere!
- laterthandawn, on 12/03/2007, -2/+5If any press is good press, this game might be the most well-advertised game in recent memory.
I'm starting to almost want to buy it to find out how bad it is...I'm going to go splash some cold water on my face... - zengonzo, on 12/03/2007, -2/+5It's really not that bad. Worth a rental at the least. The multiplayer is certainly unique.
- Nossie, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3that it does sovietamerica.
- Myst3r1o, on 12/03/2007, -1/+3They've been doing those ads/that website for months now. But since all this stuff is happening regarding the gamespot firing, they should just take it down.
- FenianNProud, on 12/03/2007, -1/+3How did something months old become 'news'? They've been plastering the K&L pages with those ads for ages now. Where the ads acceptable prior to the gamespot uproar or are the masses now looking for anything to bemoan and cite as further evidence of how bad the game must be?
Not having played it myself, I'll hold my opinion of the game. - kirab, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2Yes, Digg user are.
- burnstyle, on 12/03/2007, -2/+4i just spent the last 3 hours playing it...
he is right... it really does suck ass. - eddie72, on 12/03/2007, -2/+4I"ve actually played the game. It still sucks.
- delinka, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2I voted for Narissa. Was there something else?
- joeldsouza, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Site is dead.... I guess its the digg effect ...lolz
- mlvassallo, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2Are we still wasting our time being surprised at anything IGN does anymore?
- zengonzo, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I liked it, in spite of some technical issues.
It's much like the first Hitman was, rough around the edges but inspired. If they put the time into fixing some of the gameplay for the sequel, I think it would make all of the difference. - daridave, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2*****, I DID play it -- and it DOES suck. Especially the hiding part -- this has some clipping issues. Oh, and if you think I meant that because of Jeff being gone -- you're the one who needs to get over it. BTW I invite you to look in other places than Gamespot, the ratings aren't really any better. Seriously, Max Payne 2 feels better than this game. It's just bad, OK? By the way by claiming "play", I tend to make a difference out of "trying" and "playing" a game. I "tried" it, I'm not buying it, and I'm sure as hell not "finishing" it. Got that, mister smartass ?
- zengonzo, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I think it'll be the sales that really determine that. Though I've heard so much negative sentiment against it, I can't imagine those have done as well as planned either.
But how well did Hitman do initially? - taosd, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2I wasn't saying it was good. But this guy claims it sucks ass, yet has never, and claims will never, play it at all.
- joey368, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1Oh dear. That's sizzly & all but this makes Kane & Lynch the biggest campaign for a game that's is still highly criticized. This makes Sony's PS3 & PSP ads petty to the thought.
- canthraxp, on 12/03/2007, -2/+3Linking a product with women? Freaking innovative. 11/10.
- Optimaximal, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1The game has an average rating of 60% - in todays sales/hype driven climate, I doubt EIDOS would option on any sequel... If they did it wouldn't fix any bugs, just be forced out to try and make money.
- aceslick911, on 12/03/2007, -3/+3what the heck is going on? Since when do video games get this aggressive advertising??? Or rather.. desperate advertising..
- burnstyle, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2i missed that part of his comment...
damn my selective reading habits.... - zengonzo, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2Clearly it's the work of The7.
- Truevl, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0I have no problem with the girls, its just the same tactic that every company employs, you know since sex can sell anything... Except the pure piece of ***** that is Kane and Lynch.
- h4mx0r, on 12/03/2007, -4/+4btw, Jayden's pretty hot on there.
- sp00kysu, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Eidos most likely needs to keep the game hype going because they also signed a screen deal - wouldn't want that future project to be a flop with a certain movie studio watching too...
- tektalk, on 12/04/2007, -2/+1your welcome.
