Just wait 'till he discovers girls. - reyoo30309, on 01/04/2009, -12/+363Anyone else find it slightly humorous that the boy spent three years researching so that he change the law then once he gets all that done he complains about it keeping him up at night due to the fact that its' nocturnal?
I mean its like he missed the wikipedia article or something... - xprojects, on 01/04/2009, -14/+307"The commissioners couldn't find a reason why it had been banned in the first place..."
Can we get this kid to start in on marijuana policy now, please?! Marijuana and Sonic the Hedgehog go together like pie and ice cream. - fedak, on 01/04/2009, -2/+182Isn't an 11 year old too young to remember a time when Sonic didn't suck?
- dudefather, on 01/04/2009, -0/+169"I was just playing with hedgehog pictures and then my mom comes in and says "Oh my god what the hell are you doing?"
- xieliteix, on 01/04/2009, -4/+88female hedgehogs is srs business
- winnersguard, on 01/04/2009, -0/+77Must be some damn good parenting.
- godoftheds, on 01/04/2009, -2/+79he isn't complaining it's just that that's the only downside he could mention. or atleast that's how it seems to me
- Pedobear, on 01/04/2009, -6/+78The sad, but inevitable epilogue to this story is that like all other eleven-year olds, he'll lose interest in his Christmas present after a month and a half.
- Doctoxicated, on 01/04/2009, -0/+70"The law was enacted 25 years ago when a local plumber referred to only as "Mario" paid city officials hundreds of gold coins to ban hedgehogs citywide"
- blaxicopurress, on 01/04/2009, -1/+67good to see kids with initiative these days. when i was 11 i sat on my fat ass all day and played genesis. good times.....
- warpig2k3, on 01/04/2009, -0/+64Step 1: Fight city hall. Check.
Step 2: Get a hedgehog. Check.
Step 3: Paint it blue and launch it down a hill as fast as you can. - Games4Life, on 01/04/2009, -2/+64I was thinking... Is there even 5,000 pictures of hedgehogs out there?
- Lunarbunny, on 01/04/2009, -4/+65He's not hardcore, he didn't have OVER 9000!
- Bauer22, on 01/04/2009, -0/+59Did you expect something with spikes on it's back to be friendly?
- elliotys, on 01/04/2009, -1/+53When I was a kid, my mom found one on the side of the street where we live, up in Bend, Oregon. We took it in, but that was the most unfriendly little ***** we ever owned.
- KnightMareInc, on 01/04/2009, -15/+61sonic fans still exist? wtf
- sb1975, on 01/04/2009, -1/+44Boogie Boogie Hedgehog
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK0l2tqFDvM - Moegopher, on 01/04/2009, -2/+44Should this really be categorized as Gaming Industry News?
- tehchicken, on 01/04/2009, -2/+43After doing research for 3 years he may not be your average eleven-year old.
- cawfee, on 01/04/2009, -2/+43Fury rodents.
For when regular rodents just don't cut it. - ElAmo, on 01/04/2009, -2/+41*are there even
- MrChunks, on 01/04/2009, -2/+34The only downside to your comment is you didn't reply to the comment you were replying to.
- MrChunks, on 01/04/2009, -0/+24About 1,240,000. And that's only on Google images. He's got some way to go.
- RobotBuddha, on 01/04/2009, -2/+25When I was a kid, we followed a trail west to around your parts. Then someone would die from the poops and they'd get an awesome headstone.
- TheScogg, on 01/04/2009, -0/+22New Jersey?
- ZincSaucier, on 01/04/2009, -0/+22now the real sonic needs to come and free all the little animals
- Gareth321, on 01/04/2009, -1/+22"I was just cleaning it and it went off! Honest!"
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -0/+20He should probably remember Sonic Adventure 2. It was a pretty good game, but not really a classic Sonic.
Just like I don't consider MegaMan Legends to really be a MegaMan game, or StarFox Adventures to really be a Starfox game. - DeFex, on 01/04/2009, -1/+21yeah he should be pretending to be a rock musician with a plastic guitar.
- CJArgus, on 01/04/2009, -2/+21So that's the guy that keeps buying those god-awful new Sonic games.
- mk2ja, on 01/04/2009, -2/+21It doesn't say he is complaining. In fact, FTA: "Judson says all is going well with his new pet." It just makes a note that Little Luke's stirrings wake him.
- silent128, on 01/04/2009, -2/+20Why bother telling any one why not just buy the thing? Didn't some guy have tigers in his house in NYC for years?
- Ravenhaft, on 01/04/2009, -8/+26Just so people know, Lawrence is probably the one sane place in Kansas. It's home to K.U., has a good art and concert scene, and a lot of good bands go there while forgoing Kansas City (which is 20 minutes away, and has over a million people). It's a neat place to live, was there a couple years ago and hung out in little hole in the wall coffee shops for months on end. Douglas county is one of two counties that consistently goes blue in elections. It's sort of an oasis in a vast sea of red.
- slangmann, on 01/04/2009, -1/+18I'd sure as ***** rather have a real hedgehog than a ***** 3d sonic game
- ruarctb, on 01/04/2009, -0/+16An 11 year old, evidently.
- Games4Life, on 01/04/2009, -2/+18I like the part where they mention Sonic like once in the article.
- Hollowpoint, on 01/04/2009, -2/+18"I got the breaking news they were illegal and that kind of made me really mad," Judson said.
Lawrence's animal code has long prohibited the fury rodents in the city limits, a fact that didn't particularly upset Judson's mother.
Someone needs to update the kid on what makes for 'breaking news.' - DeFex, on 01/04/2009, -1/+16it will be funny when some hedgehogs get loose and cause an ecological disaster in his town like Australian cane toads.
- jeremymccurdy, on 01/04/2009, -0/+15The original games are still pure awesome, the first two GBA games were really good, Sonic Rush was pretty good too. Oh, and the actual Sonic levels of Sonic Unleashed (the non werewolf levels) are incredibly fun.
- elliotys, on 01/04/2009, -1/+16Tell your friends and I'll call you a slut.
- GeyserShitdick, on 01/04/2009, -6/+21It's gonna be sad when this kid gets a little older and realizes just how bad Sonic the Hedgehog has sucked for the past 15 years.
- kkxxyy, on 01/04/2009, -0/+15I can see him writing Sonic fanfics in the future.
- Vaykant, on 01/04/2009, -1/+16Does no one else find it funny for how much he likes Sonic and how hard he tried to get his hedgehog, in the end he named it Luke? its a good read tho. i'm glad the kid kept with it for 3 years to get it. GJ
- DragonForce4, on 01/04/2009, -1/+15or guys
not that there's anything wrong with that - guinpen, on 01/04/2009, -1/+15Maybe she's a nice mom and wouldn't have minded getting him one too much, but would rather not have one, so she doesn't want to make herself come off as the evil mother
- Broomie, on 01/04/2009, -1/+15Fan of Sonic but not the recent games.
- twishart, on 01/04/2009, -1/+14I wonder now if there's a bunch of commissoners who think hedgehogs are blue and can run really fast.
- Torley, on 01/04/2009, -0/+12Reminds me of kids who wanted to get a Dalmatian after seeing 101 Dalmatians, only to discover they got quite rowdy and weren't quite the right temperament... so off to the shelters they went. :(
Real hedgehogs: not blue, not so fast.
I love seeing gladdictions in action, tho. - blaxicopurress, on 01/04/2009, -0/+12yeah but there hasnt been a decent sonic game out there since the dreamcast was around
