- threepio, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18I'll take 720p with 30fps and an enormous world with a ridiculous amount of actually intelligent AI (AIAI!) over a 1080p 60fps game with a cut down experience. It's a balance here, and to see something like this (and Ninja Gaiden Sigma) this early in the life of the console gives me shivers; what's Heavenly Sword 2 going to look like?

- tommybear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That's because the both of you have NOT actually played anything that is native in 1080p. 1080p is not hype, it is 1920x1080 resolution, compared to 1280x720(720p) resolution and when something actually runs native at 1080p, I can tell you right now, the difference is staggering.

He says it varies on the player but that could mean for someone who sucks at gaming it'll take 8 hours to complete and someone who is pretty good at games in general it'll only take something like 5...

I prefer in-game cut scenes rather than pre-rendered cut scenes, personally. It seems to give the game more flow. This comes in really handy when you are able to customize your character, too.
As for the 720p @ 30fps... That's fine. Sounds like a must-rent. - painted82, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4I agree with Supaman... I did a lot of research before buying my 720p tv and 1080p is pretty much hype. From viewing distance, you can't really tell between the two.
A close friend of mine has a Pioneer Elite (supposedly the best TV in the world if you didn't know) and a much cheaper 720p TV also. Even he says 1080p isn't all that that it's cracked up to be.
