Hands-On: Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

blog.wired.com — The biggest addition to Red Alert 3 is obviously the third faction. Red Alert games have traditionally been about the tension between Soviet and Allied (read: American) forces, but Red Alert 3 branches out by adding a group called the Empire of the Rising Sun.

    I don't know about you, but that's why I keep playing these games. If I wanted realism I'd go join the Army.

  • benologist, on 07/16/2008, -0/+8The red alert mode sounds cool. I can't even count how many times I've played games that went for much, much longer then they needed to because bunkers with prism tanks and battle fortresses full of upgraded missile guys made almost every battle a stalemate.

    I have always liked C&C series better in terms of the storyline and cool units but Blizzard games' online component and game play are the best.

I have Command & Conquer 3 in my disc drive right now. I was excited when they said they would be bringing more games to Mac and elated when one of those was a new Command & Conquer. I'm upset that neither Kane's Wrath nor Red Alert 3 are currently slated to be released for Mac at any time. I don't care if they use Cider or make it native to OSX, I just want to play them on Mac.

    However RA3 looks like a bad transformers movie...
