http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7136976178243613174 - revvolutions, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12that was funny. am i the only one who half expected to see a honda at the end of it?
- trefaes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Nice, for those who don't know, these were popularised by Garry of Garry's Mod (GMod - the mod used in that video, which allows you to spawn any item in the game, move it, weld them together, and tons of other things) who started a sort of on-going competition on the GMod forums where users could submit these 'Rube Goldberg' style devices, it's still going on at http://forum.facepunchstudios.com/showthread.php?t=16111 (plenty of other nice examples there).
- popltree2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That's kinda the point.
- thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ahha ohhhhh ohhhhh owwwww, owwwwwwwwwww... what was the point of all that?
all it does is shoot ya, it doesn't make breakfast at all! aah! - DarkZen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Best laugh ive had in a while.. Must have taken ages to build that thing...
- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Isn't it nice when things just work? Never thought I'd type *that* on a computer...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow I ***** my pants watching this it's so cool.
- chezzman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now I really want to get Half-Life 2.
- Zigerot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone who has ever used Gary's Mod before knows how frustrating it can be to make a simple lever work. For the uninitiated this is not a scripted event. This is like doing it in real life with real dummies and barrels. This is the coolest thing i have ever seen. It blows "Warthog Jump" out of the bloody water.
- emo1313, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1 zigerot - "Anyone who has ever used Gary's Mod before knows how frustrating it can be to make a simple lever work. For the uninitiated this is not a scripted event." --- Very true, I wonder how long it took to create these
- MikeCampo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man I love that type of stuff.
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's a better link, this one is to my torrent of that movie (The Way Things Go/Der Lauf Der Dinge) ...a smaller file, but fine!
I just figred out that you have to 'upload a new torrent', and not just 'make' the torrent! :-)
http://www.mininova.org/tor/222176 - WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Ultimate video of a Rube Goldberg like machine is called
"The Way Things Go" (Der Lauf Der Dinge)
....and here's the torrent:
http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3427371 - CannonGod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well done to the guy who made this. That must have caused many a sleepless night trying not to futz up the whole think while trying to put it together!
I would love it if some cool physics teachers would use GarrysMod in their lessons. That would really of made Physics even more fun to learn! - Terducken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, that was good. I wonder how long it took to make.
- sigUVa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That is unreal. I don't even want to know how long that took to create.
- iSlayer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very good but a complete waste of time. Still good.

- manfesto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Like a violent version of "The Incredible Machine"

/stunned. - adidax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very funny. Also a testament to both HL2's modding ability (ability to be modded more accurately) and the Havok physics engine.
- rompom7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1good, but its kinda old. i've been making rube goldberg devices in hl2 for ages.
