Guitar Hero IV's New Axe Spotted: Activision Goes Indie
engadget.com — Now that we know what Guitar Hero IV's drums will look like, it seems Activision is saying "We don't need no stinkin' replicas!" for the game's guitar controller design. Spotted in Guitar Hero: World Tour's debut trailer, the new axe appears to be a black or cherry non-Gibson, non-Fender, non-anything instrument of random design.

i still don't get why the guitar is so important, i mean why does the model of the guitar controller matter, unless it has new functions isn't it just the same? - WaxenPith, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1I like how all of the comments are hating on GH but they don't realize that each time a new one comes(either RB or GH) they will all have certain things that draw the consumer in.
Why does it always have to be one or the other with these terrible fanboys saying ***** like: "I'll wait for Rock Band 2." or "Here's to Rock Band 2 and the death of Guitar Hero."
I mean have any of these kids even READ the Game Informer preview?
Velocity sensitive 6-piece drum set,? the return of Clive Winston and Pandora?, fully customizable crate-a-rocker mode?, song mapping?, fully customizable guitars?.

its only natural for people to take up one camp or the other. they're called fans. and a lot of them like both games even, but they don't have room for all the instruments and are pissed that you can't use RB instruments in GH 4 (supposedly).
