LOL. There's always one of you guys lurking in any Guitar Hero discussion. And there's always this satirical reply, which I guess this time will come from me:
- if you're already dropping $60 on a football video game and now an updated team roster....why not just take up real football? this is starting to get really sad.
OR...
- if you're already dropping $250 on a Wii and now Wii Tennis....why not just take up real tennis? this is starting to get really sad.
In summary: Shut. The *****. Up. It's a TOY! Okay? It's here to entertain us, not to teach us how to play real guitar, you goddamn troll. - kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+44horray for distortion pedals sold at hopefully not extortion prices!
- ShBm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Godammit PS2.
- gunzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10if you've played guitar hero before then you should know it already has one and if not then you can clearly see it when you click the link
- ElbridgeGerry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Real men don't need instruction manuals.

I've been playing real guitar for 3 years and Guitar Hero Rules! And sometimes I find Guitar Hero harder than real guitar! People have every right to have fun playing a video game. Guitar is guitar, games are games. - baldr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Preordered GH II this morning, can't wait for it to come...
Can't wait to rock out to TROGDOOOOORRRRRR - Spidey99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah, we ordered it this morning on circuit city's web site, went to pick it up, at first they wasn't gonna sell it to us, but i told the guy the web site didn't say anything except we could pick it up in 24 minutes or less. My son's now happily plinking away at Rush YYZ in his room right now. He's a happy 17 year old...he also plays Bass in two bands, but he's been waiting for this game for ages for his 360. Cool he got it early.
- goldfenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Points for those who know where the meme the article mentions is from. If you do get it, however, please do not name the source.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6The really positive review over at IGN confirms that all tracks from the original Guitar Hero *will* be available for download, starting a week from release (which is this Tuesday). I'm excited.

If you've never owned either of these games, this looks like the ultimate Guitar Hero package. Definitely a must-buy for any Xbox 360 owner who is even mildly interested in having "fun" while playing a game. - HallwayGiant, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The real story here being that Circuit City/Wal-Mart broke the street date, right?
- CoheedRock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Man...this game puts you in a hypnotic trance once you start playing flawlessly. I love it.

You are the master of satirical and sarcastic replydom. You actually made me giggle out loud. Well-*****-said. - Renton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Mudkip
- NeoCortex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm still trying to figure out the real use of the distortion pedal. It may be an alternate way to activate star power, but it's not really that hard to tilt the controller, so it doesn't seem worth it for that. Any effects in notes are already recorded into the game, with some added effect from the wammy bar. It definately can't be a point modifier, since people would consider it an unequal playing field on the leader boards if you have to pay extra to buy one.
While I think an effects pedal may be really cool to use, I can't see an extra attachment coming out at less than about $20. Right now, I can't think of what it could add to the experience that warrants the extra money spent.
Anybody have any guesses on specifics? - cave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Maybe this will teach Bemani to market their ***** overseas a bit more aggressively. If only they localized Guitar Freaks...
- Jimtac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wonder if I could use my PGR3 pedals with this...
- KineticFlow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1American Konami will FAIL miserably... see their US-port of beatmania. Horrible, horrible...
GuitarFreaks&drummania V4 (Rock x Rock) seems to be coming to N. America and Europe soon though. - crosswick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, that's a interesting application for it. Imagine being able to sculpt your own funk riffs with it, with a good Dunlop or Morley Line 6-style wah emulation at your feet. Ahhhsome.
- Araya213, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh man, it would be sweet if they had a wah-wah peripheral.
- PickledJesus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Rule 1
Do not talk about /b/
.. OH SHI- - crashingechelon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Me and my friend actually drove to a Circuit City in a different city today to pick up the game. He bought it online for in store pick up and it was about an hour drive but it was worth it. When we got home and checked the website, Circuit City fixed it so that you can't buy it early.
- Jimtac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1**Update** Nope... At least not yet anyways.
- bobthecat23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cant wait to get this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- NeoCortex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They've since fixed this bug. If you check the website now, it says that it's unavailable for store pick-up. Up until this morning, you could check the stock available at your local store, buy it for store pick-up and walk to the customer service counter and purchase it. If you tried just wandering in and looking for it, you were out of luck, though.
Tuesday can't come fast enough for me. - Bureiku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0actually i have GH1 and 2 for ps2, and now 360. I think its great it came over to the box. 1 reason being i like the leaderboards (now i dont have to worry about uploading myself on Scorehero.com). Plus look at all the extra content we get. The hardcore gamers, like myself, will buy this for the 360 platform. In your question on something ko0l coming to the ps2 version, you might wanna keep a look out for the upcoming GH 80s Edition. This should be out by the middle of the summer. Plus, they are in talks about porting the extra songs for from 360 to a remdae ps2 version. Anyways whoever wants to add me to xbox my name on there is Bureiku X. I wouldnt mind seeing some of the comp ^_^
- cynimarie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's annoying for the people who bought GH1 and GH2 on PS2. Hopefully, they will be able to come out something really cool for the console that gained the game its popularity.
- File13, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3My pokemans, let me show you them!
- dmrx24, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What if the feature is for Guitar Hero 3? Maybe they are merely thinking about the future.
- Matt174e, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I want a Cry Baby!
- qpPeteyqp, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Wowza, now all we need is a wireless guitar!
- DryerCombo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1The effects pedels are the ones that come with the 360 force feedback wheel. I predicted this about 5 months ago when I heard that the Guitar had a RJ12 port on it.
- Eallan, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2What exactly is the point of an effects pedal on this game? I mean i love my mega distortion pedal, but why not just program the sounds. *shrug*
- dhVyse, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Awesome! Guitar Hero 2 is great, can't wait for the third installment (or Guitar Villain, whichever comes first!).
- Renton, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3So I herd u liek mudkip
- stlcadet11, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Hello future metallica wannabes....
- quomen, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3sweet, i cant wait to put my pedal to the metallica.
- hbeierg, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2all it needs now is a whammy bar!
- cam0man, on 10/12/2007, -40/+6if you're already dropping $90 on a plastic toy guitar and now more 'effects' pedals....why not just take up real guitar? this is starting to get really sad.
