Wow - when do we get good bands/music for downloads? You look at the quality stuff available for Rock Band, and it's drool-worthy. - PinkFloydFan, on 12/21/2007, -0/+7I love Guitar Hero & got every sone (except Jordan) on 5 stars. When GH3 came out, I really wanted to buy it (my neighbors did) but held out. Then Rock Band finally came out & I purchased it a few days later. This is a rediculous sham, look at these songs! Nearly every band sucks (except perhaps for Mastadon) and We Three Kings? Rock Band has thus far released WEEKLY songs, and this weeks include GOOD bands, from Radiohead to Weezer. We've also received tracks from CCR, Black Sabbath, The Ramones, The Clash, David Bowie, Wolfmother, The Knack, Queens of the Stone Age, Foreigner, The Pretenders, The Police, and a little band called METALLICA! (You know, bands people give a crap about, not "We Three Kings") The sad truth is that GH has officially sold out. I followed Harmonix, and have since they released Frequency.

I just wish there were more songs released for download more often - especially when you see Rock Band getting new content nearly every week. Are you insane? - ftgarcia, on 12/21/2007, -0/+6This doesn't take into account the game development of creating the note charts, working off the masters, or hiring a cover band, lip syncing and 3d animations for the rest of the band, syncing the stage light show, etc, etc.... I do agree with the fact that $2.50 is a rip, and they are making tons of cash of these micro-transactions. I mean the game itself has 50+ songs and those songs aren't $2.50 each, that's for sure.

It upsets me that they had no problem allowing Cadillac to put "Rock and Roll" on their piece of ***** car commercials, forever ruining that song, but they won't put anything into such a fun game like Guitar Hero that spans a much wider audience. - logicalnoise, on 12/21/2007, -3/+7which is funny because if you knew anything about south park studios you'd know the majority play rock band and Guitar hero. Plus Timmy and the lords of the underworld is in Rock band as a bonus track. Besides the final awesome line of that ep refers to idiots that boast about their accomplishments in the game like it really matters.
