- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -53/+234Jesus.. .one of the ***** bands ever gets their own installment of Guitar Hero? What's next, Guitar Hero: Nickelback?
- TheKingInYellow, on 02/15/2008, -2/+67hey activision, start releasing your games as greatest hits on ps2 already and then i'll get excited about new titles. i think you've sold enough copies of gh1, 2, 3 and 80's to warrant them as greatest hits. i'm not paying 49.99 for something that should be 19.99 already.
- derekbender, on 02/15/2008, -1/+58Eh, I won't buy it. Guitar Hero is great but only songs from one band? Lame. I like variety
- darkchild82, on 02/15/2008, -1/+50oh & by the way, they're giving away "Dream On" as a free download from Feb 16-18 on Xbox Live & the PSN Store. I think thats pretty awesome !
- Digg413, on 02/15/2008, -7/+50MUST HAVE ZEPPELIN!
- godzillaWax, on 02/15/2008, -1/+41Wow. A bunch of tracks they could have offered as downloads being put in a package and charged for full price? This is shameless. This is like EA releasing two Maddens in the same year.
- fadetoone, on 02/15/2008, -2/+37Introducing Guitar Hero: Nickelback. Play the each song in the game with the same note chart!
- scooterbaga, on 02/15/2008, -11/+43...I now have confirmation that leaving GH behind, only to be played on my ps2, is the right decision.
Rockband is the future. GH is a chicken with its head cut off... just a matter of time for that poor bastard. - yohnstoppable, on 02/15/2008, -11/+42No way in hell is Aerosmith one of the ***** bands ever. I'll agree they weren't the best choice, but i think i hear the hyperbole police coming to take you away to exaggeratatraz
- stellarceltic, on 02/15/2008, -24/+55If by "*****" you mean "most successful"...
- Quadrille, on 02/15/2008, -1/+31Can't wait for the Spice Girls one.
- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -7/+35You know, he actually has a point. We should start judging musicians by the amount of money they make.
- ShooterMcGavin, on 02/15/2008, -0/+24If they were to say, release "Band Packs" for GH at like $10 a piece, I think that would be pretty cool. I am not, however, going to spend full price for a game with all one band. I'm just not.
- Nobi-Wan, on 02/15/2008, -4/+28And here I thought that Guitar Hero 80's edition had a horrible song selection....
Seriously, THIS is going to try to compete with Rock Band? - ChromaVita, on 02/15/2008, -1/+24Guitar Hero: Nickelback would work, but the guitar hero guitar has far too many buttons.
- logicalnoise, on 02/15/2008, -5/+28considering Aerosmith songs have never been teh highlight of any of the rhythm games they've been in why oh why would we want 30 more tracks? I mean there's a couple songs of there's that are pretty good but seriously an entire game?
- Cruelapollo, on 02/15/2008, -2/+21You're such a rebel
- RobbieCrash, on 02/15/2008, -1/+20Here's an idea, why not apply that ***** to every video game out there?
Gran Turismo? Why not learn to drive an $80,000 car?
Grand Theft Auto? Why not just go out and steal cars, ***** hookers and shoot cops?
Metroid? Why not go out and find a suit of Chozo armour and defeat space pirates?
Oh yeah, it's a ***** video game, it's used to distract ones self from reality. Give it a ***** rest. - Metropolis, on 02/15/2008, -1/+17They need a Guitar Hero: Yngwie Malmsteen. Now that would be a challenge!
- themanflounders, on 02/15/2008, -6/+22Judging by the rest of this board I'm about ready to get plenty of buried, but Aerosmith was one of the most influential bands of the 70s. Of course, Led Zeppelin was the most influential rock band (or The Who depending on your perspective) of the 70s but early 70s to late 70s Aerosmith was cutting edge and a huge inspiration to modern rock bands. They were huge. Their later stuff is much different, of course, but the die hard fans love it all because it makes sense. But to say that their first four albums weren't solid rock and roll albums is pretty off target. If you are really into music and want to follow me up, check out 75's Toy's in the Attack. Amazing record.
- MulanLang, on 02/15/2008, -2/+17About as boring as playing Guitar Hero: Nickelback
- TheUngod, on 02/15/2008, -3/+18Oh hell yeah. And Britney Spears is absolutely fantastic too! I mean, she made a ton of money right? So she MUST be talented.
- bpwwhirl, on 02/15/2008, -3/+16It'll claim to have 30+ songs.. but really, they're all going to be the same. Should make for quite a challenge.
- jtbndy, on 02/15/2008, -14/+27A major draw for guitar hero was the song variety. This is ***** and I hope it fails miserably. All songs being from Aerosmith is gay.
That being said, I'll be happily downloading my free song tomorrow. - ih8ualot, on 02/15/2008, -2/+15Absolutely no variety in GH != win.
This is epic fail. - SteveThePlank, on 02/15/2008, -3/+15This is the worst idea ever... It's destined to fail.
So when's Rock Band out in the UK? - jstohler, on 02/15/2008, -1/+13They're not mutually exclusive.
- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -5/+16Aerosmith sucks ass. Anyone here can easily name 20 bands that would be way better.
- Zandarrr, on 02/15/2008, -1/+12WHY?!
- skewer324, on 02/15/2008, -1/+12"i think you've sold enough copies of gh1, 2, 3 and 80's to warrant them as greatest hits." Oh snap! I hear a new game title. Guitar Hero: Warrant Edition! 18 remixes of Cherry Pie!
- scooterbaga, on 02/15/2008, -2/+12Good luck with that. Halo 2 just made it. 'Greatest Hits' just means 'people stopped buying it at full price and we can make more money with a small discount'
Just buy used. I love buying through Gamefly. You get to test it out before you buy. You can pristine new games for like $30. - Nobi-Wan, on 02/15/2008, -6/+16It's back in 1990 when it would have been good.
- petebot, on 02/15/2008, -1/+11Oh god, no...We're not going to have GH and RB fanboys now, are we?
- Kumaku, on 02/15/2008, -0/+9Oh jesus, you're right. Anyone up for some soccer?
- Ph0biA, on 02/15/2008, -0/+9And to think, After Guitar Hero 3, we all thought they would start having good songs from now on.
- skewer324, on 02/15/2008, -2/+11I'm not paying 295.99 for Guitar Hero: We Promise You'll Like St. Anger Edition.
- SirBotchness, on 02/15/2008, -0/+9I could put up with Dream On, that is it. I used to like Aerosmith back in the 80s when i was a kid, but now i can't stand them. This is the dumbest guitar hero ever. Make a Guitar Hero SRV or Hendrix and i'll be all over it.
- petebot, on 02/15/2008, -1/+10Tell that to Barry Manilow.
- Braingoo, on 02/15/2008, -0/+8I expect nothing, I demand..
- thirty6chambers, on 02/15/2008, -0/+8this will go great with my Armageddon soundtrack.
- Nobi-Wan, on 02/15/2008, -0/+8By the company's own standard, once a game sells a million then it's a "Platinum Hits" or "Greatest Hits" and should automatically become cheaper. MS and Sony don't do this for their top sellers though because they know that people will still pay a premium to play them.

- TiMMY8765, on 02/15/2008, -1/+9ballad.
- TheKingInYellow, on 02/15/2008, -0/+8i never really understood why certain games became greatest hits titles almost instantly while other took forever or never at all. look at shadow of the colossus. it went greatest hits shortly after it's release. same with the gta titles. i just figured that if a game sold X number of units that it would automatically be considered a greatest hits title.
- fadetoone, on 02/15/2008, -3/+11I mean, I will probably get this as a stand alone game, but they couldn't find a better band?
I know a lot of people hate Metallica now days, but I could sure go for an all Metallica Guitar Hero. At least they have an old song catalog that's chock full of songs with good guitar usage...
Maybe since I'm not really a big fan of Aerosmith I don't have a concept of how good their non-singles are. - deadseksy, on 02/15/2008, -0/+8I'll download that. But they can Dream On that I'll ever buy the game.
- zebr, on 02/15/2008, -1/+9ILL PASS
- deskattire, on 02/15/2008, -4/+12Aerosmith was good in their time.... but that time has pased. A true sign of the band's lameness is playing a sappy balled for the cinematic abortion "Armageddon" --- and the song wasn't even written by the band. Welcome to adult contemporary rock. .
- thehans, on 02/15/2008, -2/+10The only cool thing about this may be a cameo by RUN D.M.C.
- Myonosken, on 02/15/2008, -4/+12Guitar Hero: Radiohead
I would fork out for that bitch. -
