(Aside from the wire that plugs in your NES controller to the wireless base, but the same applies to the wiimote's addons) And I'm assuming the product came out long before the N64 or Gamecube so I'm inclined to agree with impur1ty and bet this is pretty inaccurate, or at least it lacked the proper research.
