I completed Gears of War yesterday, general raam is one difficult bastard, finally got him, for some reason Dom ended up running to the other end behind light mass thingy, which gave me enough time to put in an additional 5 headshots, so on his way back I got in about 3 more and he was dead, total shots used was about 13/14 ...
Sorry went into a rant there, yeah the graphics are ***** hot in GoW, the funny thing is there are no lag or dvd delay times, which is quite cool. Top game in my book, now I await Assassins Creed :-) and a few other hot releases coming out - jacksons98, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Congrats Microsoft. Both X360 and PS3 need titles at the level of Gears of War. That is the problem plaguing both systems is not enough truly next gen games.
@VANZAN Your an idiot if you think the same unit you saw last week is still there. - CanadianGeese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So GoW has already sold considerably more than MGS2, the highest selling MGS game on the PS2, and has done it in a few short months with a MUCH MUCH lower install base. The highest selling exclusive series for Sony (when looking at last gens numbers) is the MGS series.
It's facts like this that make me think that MGS4 will not be a system seller, though I'll hold my final opinion until I see it. - Drizzit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2If you want a PS3 go to any walmart. Lewisville, TX and Roanoke Tx walmarts both have2 small ones and 2 60 gig ones. Hell they even put in the demo ones you can actually play. Dont like the controller though it's too small for my hands. Either way nobody was playing the demo unit and every day I go there those PS3's are still there.
Maybe as people start getting their tax returns. What I can say is that of all the demo booths set up, especially the ones next to a 360 and a wii. The PS3 is by far the least used. It is like no one cares.

I was skeptical to say the least, so I made a trip to my local target yesterday and lo and behold they had one PS3 available. I then proceeded to my nearest walmart, they had no PS3's on display so I asked the clerk and he informed me that they had 5 systems in the back, all of them were the 60 gb ones. SO I was somewhat shocked, but yes they are available. But this morning came my biggest surprise. I went to my best buy in Akron, Oh. Quite a busy best buy, and I went to the video game section. I went to check out the 360 games and they had 10 systems under the racks and a pallet of 20 more systems right there. I went to check out the PS3 games and they had 8 systems under the games. Amazed as I was after I saw this I looked up and about 10 feet away from me I saw a pallet with 30!!!!!!!! PS3's on it. 30!!!! Just to be sure I check with a best buy employee and he informed me they were all actual systems and they had been there for 3 days now, he said they have only had like one or two people even interested. If you don't believe me I will take pics and post some tomorrow.
