- LogicBomB, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Trust me - just because you a play a lot does not make you terribly good. I was an AMAZING Halo2 player but I only played now and then. I could consitantly win against high school children who did nothing but play 24/7. Some people play and get better the more they play, other's stagnate.
The problem I have with a GOW tourny is that if you've ever played GOW you know that it's is HEAVILY host-favored. You get an ungodly advantage by hosting - easily able to double or tripple your normal non-host scores. - TheSmokingManX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I don't know if that's necessarily what it means, but it seems like it would be just too easy to cheat in a tourney where you just have to climb the leaderboard.

- dasluvaluva, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The one problem I have is ping in Gears of War. They *really* need to show you your ping to the host when searching for games. Too many times have I connected to a game in Australia while in the U.S.

I would have been the first site hosting legit tournaments for gears of war. By the time my sideline programmer finishes it up it will be like the 7-8th gears tournament/ladder site for this damn game..

Even the 'Pro' console with a handful of games seems a bit skimpy to me for the other 8 people considering there are god knows how many GoW players out there.

You dont really get negative points for anything in that game except leaving a game early i thought. Its not like halo where you are ranked versus other people. I could be wrong but that makes no sense for thier tournament then.
