- spacerobot, on 09/04/2008, -0/+16I was really hoping it would be about making Al Gore more fun. I'm slightly disappointed.
- ThinkBox, on 09/04/2008, -3/+13MTV website? Pass. I'd almost rather not know.
- reynish, on 09/04/2008, -0/+6Wow! What an utter ***** article. It would have been far better if it would have said;
"Jeez, people are actually made of blood & guts and guess what? if you shoot/cut/bomb them then said blood & guts make a mess"
But I suppose dev's need to cover their arses so when their new 'Fun Gore' game comes out they can just say;
"It's no more gore filled than movies."
This especilly does my ***** in. Why cant someone make a game that is the rudest, gore filled, virtue less, sex driven game and just come out and say;
"Yes, it is all of those things and for that we're proud" - irfanmp, on 09/03/2008, -3/+7I love when you down them, wait for them to get back up and snipe them with a headshot from close range blowing their whole head off. Superb. Truly superb.
- chussy, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2check out this documentary, where tarintino got a lot of his inspiration. It's a good documentary

- TheKingInYellow, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1it's interesting that he mentions "torture porn" in reference to such films as bad taste and hostel but there's no mention of videodrome.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1most of GOW environment was done by Chinese outsourced workers. cheaper labor.
- Katana314, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1Well, it's Digg. What are they gonna do, link to a free coupon?
- RaggTopp, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1If you're a REAL gamer.......Soldier of Fortune would never be an example of ANYTHING other a great idea with HORRIBLE implementation.
The GHOUL engine was the first of it's kind with destructible segmented body parts. Unfortunately the play control was utter *****, and any real gamer that's played SoF would tell you that.
Even the original Doom had inertia in it's movement system....... - h3lx, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1The amazing thing is someone is being paid to write ***** like this.
/hopefully for not much longer. - Pensuke, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1Was an entire article necessary? The description said everything and I didn't even have to go to MTV's site.
- Evvol, on 09/05/2008, -0/+0Thats a really creepy picture.
- HoodsDream, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1shhh
one on one sniper battle
gridlock
Gamertag: Hoods Dream - Boardies, on 09/04/2008, -0/+0Fallout 3 is gunna have more impressive blood effects than Gears. Have you even seen the headshots? eyeballs and brains go flying
But i strongly doubt they needed external inspiration fro that.
they dont one day get together and say 'you know, i watched saw last night, and gore would be cool for our game'
comeon! - Socratores, on 09/04/2008, -2/+1MTV Multiplayer....???? wtf??
- yaosio, on 09/04/2008, -5/+2I refuse to believe there were any artists working on Gears of War.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -5/+0gore is fun.
I've played a whole lot of games, and still to this day DOOM is the only game that can quench my thirst for unadulterated mindless carnage.
all this DOOM talk gave me a boner. that's kinda ***** up.
