Gaming expected to be a $68 billion business by 2012

arstechnica.com — An industry study conducted on the worldwide video game industry has predicted that the video game boom will continue through to 2012, with total sales soaring to $68.4 billion by 2012. The outlook isn't as rosy for PC gaming, which is projected to drop by 1.2 percent during the same period.

  • Barbas06, on 06/18/2008, -1/+1I guess that the most important sentence in the article is "The last time industry forecasts looked this rosy, back in 1983, the whole industry crashed."
    I'm not saying it will happen just that maybe with oil crisis people will use their money differently than the report predicts
