- zombiedepot, on 12/18/2007, -0/+20Why buy magazines when you can read ***** opinions for free on the internet?
- KnockoutNerd, on 12/18/2007, -0/+14This reminded me of how I miss Oddworld.
- hokeywebb22, on 12/18/2007, -0/+11I remember I had the first 5 issues of incite I really liked that magazine.
- robustyoungsoul, on 12/18/2007, -0/+4Man I used to love PC Accelerator, even though that isn't on this list.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -0/+4Or even watch them
- thebellmaster1x, on 12/18/2007, -0/+3Granted, it lasted well over a year (over two, actually), but I still miss GMR. :(
- DownIsTheNewUp, on 12/18/2007, -0/+3Ha, does anyone else remember Flux?
- postalblowfish7, on 12/18/2007, -0/+3gaming magazines are for taking dumps.
- jordan1, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2wow that sounds gay
- logicalnoise, on 12/18/2007, -1/+3agreed it was actually a very well done mag. Great content and nice layout.
- grimeygutter, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2It had a little feature like "Things Not to do Number #27, When at a rival teams school or sporting arena wouldn't it be terrible if someone urinated into the venting of the heating systems" Another one was something about putting kool-aid into a super soaker to unleash hoards of bugs on your enemies.
Good times for my impressionable little mind, I was sad when I learned it suffered an untimely death. Good to see at least someone else out there read it. - nublet, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2super gaming looks like an old issue of egm. it even uses the same font. =/
- ryllharu, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1They forgot ogr (Online Gaming Review). Yes, all lowercase. I have both issues!
Not a bad magazine, they had this amazing writeup about two reviewers playing Total Annihilation for the first time. - 6dust, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Where's Stuff Gamer? I thought that one had promise, but I don't think issue 2 every made it out...
- schroe, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1I had a subscription to Gamestar. First issue was great. Second issue was a bunch ***** and little about games and entertainment. Third issue was ***** and music.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2Something about the gamestar cover makes me want to buy it.
- exninjahunter, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Lame!
- FireAtWill, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2First thing I thought of when I saw this headline. I remember their review for GT2, made me fall in love with the Evo VI.
- cyranthus, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2I swear I had that same issue of Super Gaming.
- volacide, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1I so wish it somehow gets revived and we get back on track with the intended quintology... Munch's Oddysee was pretty poor by general game standards but I loved it all the same simply because it was Oddworld. They were amazing games.
- mattcoady, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1I got sent game buyer magazine to fill the remaining year of my ultra game player subscription, which was sent to me to fill the remaining year of my game player subscription. This would be rounded out with two issues of next gen magazine. It was sad times.
- geoffreyireland, on 12/19/2007, -0/+1I have a copy of Incite in my room. It features WWFs The Rock on the front talking about Wrestlemania 2000.
- zwilliams, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1I was about to post the same thing. I love PCXL (even though I am predominantly a Mac User) and wish they were still around. It was the only magazine to get me laughing hard.
- NeoTEKK, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1...or for long train rides. I live in Nyc. Anyone living here and working downtown knows what a pain it is to travel around in trains. These mags fit the bill. Besides, a lot of the articles can be very interesting. I don't read them so much for the reviews (you can find them just about anywhere on the net). But for the behind-the-scene articles and more game industry related subjects - Game Informer ftw!
- postalblowfish7, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Sega Visions anyone? I had a ***** subscription to that *****.
- paidhima, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1I was so eager to see PCXL back in action that I bought into their webmag idea, short-lived though it was. I miss those guys!
- whyufail, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2I still don't understand why gaming mags exist anymore. Sure, they were great before the internet exploded, but now they just seem redundant, and I'm apparently not the only one as fewer and fewer pages with more and more ads on them are composing most of the recent issues to cover costs, and there are more and more pushes to get "exclusive" game codes/items put in them to give them some sort of value. Don't get me wrong, I feel for the guys who would be out of a job, but personally, I think it would be best for everyone if they just switched over to publishing online, rather than dragging things along until they cant support themselves anymore.
- spaceman84, on 12/19/2007, -0/+0What the ***** is wrong with you? Why would you keep that garbage? Every one of the editors was a douchebag.
- spaceman84, on 12/19/2007, -0/+0It's not on the list because it lasted a couple of years. These are the ones that couldn't even survive the first year.
- Drakoi, on 12/18/2007, -3/+1so why would I want to know about them now? buried.
- spaceman84, on 12/18/2007, -8/+4Holy ***** was Incite terrible. It was a lame, retarded ripoff of PC Accelerator. They completely didn't get what made PCXL great. They tried so hard to be cool it was painful to read.
