- WermerSkoch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+51I work at an EB games, and those lists aren't "secret" by any means -- if a customer asks, we print it out for them, and most stores have a binder somewhere around the counter for customers to thumb through and see what's coming out. Furthermore, those lists are by no means accurate (especially for the PS3 and Wii) -- the release dates listed change quite frequently. So while it does give you SOME idea of when the system should come out (sometime in November [but everyone knew that anyway]), people shouldn't look at them and say "Yes! Release dates have been leaked!" Also you'll notice Twighlight Princess isn't on there anywhere -- so, no release date yet.
- armbar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18I never would have guessed that you submitted that story yourself.
- Farodek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11nintendo is smart enough to know that if they want to keep their release date a secret until a certain date, they don't give a specific date to the retailers so it can't be leaked.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Where's Zelda?
- CatfishJones, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Compare to another list from a German EB Games earlier today...

- ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Bloody 60-70 euro, that's 76-89 dollars. I so hope Wii will be region free so I can import games.
- danielrh9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The only reason there are release dates attached to any roster like this is because their inventory requires for a date to be listed. These are simply "placeholder" dates that are in place until the actual date is given. Same goes for pricing. It's all speculation.
- armbar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I can't believe you actually like dragonball z. Do you really enjoy playing games with no strategy, and watching lame animes with no plotline?
"Watch as I power up for 6 consecutive episodes!!!" - ka0tic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I mean i wanna believe it but you cant always believe those things. I mean last year before the 360 came out and i went to Gamestop, I saw this employee paper that said the 360 was launching November 12th along with Halo 3
- FackBlog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5could have
- daridave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3wheres teh zelda. 'nuff said.
- razmig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i work at an EB games, thats nothing at all. it's basically a Sku list which we mostly use to type in pre-orders. That specific book sits in the front of my store for anyone to check release dates, it's not top secret or anything...and though the release dates for games are usually right it really doesn't matter because they change almost daily, which is why we always have to print a new list. So there really isn't any leak, you can see the same info on ign if you want.
- Pennemu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Catfish
Those were my thoughts as well. Not a single Nintendo game on there. All 3rd party titles. I was very disappointed by the list until I quickly realized there wasn't a single Nintendo Launch title on there. What a useless digg story :-/ - spaemo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3She was captured by Ganon, Duh.
- Sp0rAdiC, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6There's a 29.99 game and a few 39.99 games on that list, not bad considering prices for other consoles.
- TheFoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Exactly, you could also get this list if you went to Gamestop's website and searched for all of those games individually. This list means nothing.
- CatfishJones, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8There was an interesting point made in the comments on GoNintendo that no first-party games are on the list.
One of the theories put forward was that this is the second page of a two page list. The first page, with dates before 10/31/06, contain all the first party titles whose release date would give away the release date of the Wii.
Definately something to raise an eyebrow about. - Topher06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Don't take any stock in this.
For instance, BestBuy and Futureshop in Canada are posting Nov 30, 2006 release dates for games with prices of $69.99. They are taking pre-orders. In most cases, mose online ordering systems probably don't work without some fixed released date/price information.
It is common for these stores to change the release dates as accurate details are released. - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2These aren't even release dates. These are shipping dates. We can only infer one thing from this list: It assures a November launch if these dates are even to be trusted.
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I never thought about this before but playing a fighting game like dragonball z budokai would be really fun with the wiimote, having to actually move you arms and hands to produce a combo would make the game much more interesting.
- Fotograffiti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You are a very angry Gamestop manager. You must scare the ***** out of your employees.
- slaystench, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Where is Zelda and Metroid Prime 3? I thought they were launch titles...
- jcaino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Price list for games isn't exactly what I would consider insider info...
Regardless, I'm definitely considering getting a Wii - and I haven't owned a console since 8 bit NES - which I still have...
Played PS1, PS2 and Xbox (still haven't bothered with the Xbox360) and never really could justify the purchase (especially the high prices of each - sheesh...the ps3 has got to turn out to be a huge flop)
However, the price of the wii is much kinder and Nintendo has some pretty damn good games out now that I hope would be playable on the wii, plus some good looking titles coming out too... - razmig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2wow, okay, you are clearly an idiot. gamestop doesn't love pre-orders because we make a free five dollars, the only reason we do pre-orders is to save company money when ordering from the game companies, for instance, corporate orders 50 new games to be sent to my specific store, but we only sell 5 of them in a year, we lost money.
pre-orders are basically just us collecting data so we know how many games to order, if 5 people pre-order games, we will only order 8 games, therefore we will sell five, and have 3 left over for walk in buys, if they don't sell, we didn't lose that much.
and i don't know exactly which store you work in, but if you got that list a month ago then you are pretty behind, we've had Wii game listings for a long time now.
now if you said gamestop loves TRADES then that would make more sense, since that is our only income. - armbar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you just like the idea of moving your arms to simulate the control, you'll probably like Wii Sports and Zelda. At least, I think Zelda's control scheme will actually let you "throw" the boomerang, etc.
Those look to be some of the better launch titles. - Philodox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That list certainly doesn't help Nintendo's image of being a kid oriented console. Thankfully there's some solid titles in there to round things out.
- hairyjewels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I am highly anticipating the PS3, but will also purchase a Wii. Anyways, isn't all this speculation just promoting the product in the end? Can't wait to have the 2
- Drakeno, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Final Fantasy XII is going to be released on 10/31. Nintendo could start selling the console on the same day as a way to start competing with Sony. This would give them a 1-UP over Sony for sure. I would buy the Wii over FF XII any day. Sorry Sony. :(
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I actually have never played the DBZ games, I just know they are a fighting game and I recognized it on the list.
- Push2Flush, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess we can't blame them, today should be the last day for the WILD speculations.
- dharm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1basing release date of a console off of game release dates is not very accurate...
many games come out weeks in advance, many games come out a few days before a console comes out... most dates are just place holders for actual dates - REXNFX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah I'm sure that there are no FIRST PARTY GAMES coming out on launch. Yeah right. This is just a list of the 3rd parties who have been working on games adn know that they are ready by those dates. It doesn't mean they won't come out sooner. There is still nothing from the Big N until this Friday. Enjoy the ride. Wii!
- priceless721, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1oh my god you are all complete idiots i hope i get modded down for this! i manage a gamestop and these lists have been in the computer for MONTHS people and we have been having people reserve them for months. i have had trauma center 2 on reserve for months this is not new news this is old as ***** wake up if you walked into and gamestop and asked for this it would be printed and be given to you. wow this is top ***** secret ***** when we urge people everyday to reserve all these titles you know what tommorrow after work i am looking up how many reserves we have just to see how behind the times you are
- jmdajr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was hoping for 39.99 games.
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WHOAMG, there's no way this could be a fake! And neither could this:
http://www.kudla.org/totally-not-fake-at-all.jpg - Koushiro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How is this a leak? It's just the damn pre-release list they have sitting on thier counter! Booo!
- Elric1977, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Our Indie store has had this list for over a month already... WAY old news.
- movieman200x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thank you! Somebody gets it! This is just a list of the games you can currently pre-order at your local ebgames and gamestop stores... This has little merit other than we know these games will be released eventually. The absence of Twilight Princess just means they aren't taking pre-orders for it yet.
- hansamurai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Remember everyone, the release dates of those games does not equal the release of the system. I bought Super Monkey Ball and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron a few weeks before the Gamecube came out. I also had three extra controllers and a memory card ready for the GCN launch... man, I was prepared.
- Daveecee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like how this "launch list" doesn't have Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, or Metroid Prime 3 listed even though Nintendo confirmed them as launch titles.
- Blueshrike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Notice the lack of Wii Sports from this and the EB list. I smell pack-in. :) We will know soon.
- mikepu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another "who cares" Wii release. You can go to any Gamestop and see this. It doesn't mean anything. Plus, there's no first-party titles. Wait 'till the 14th before you go cuckoo.
- jamtart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow there is not one single MUST HAVE game on that list.
Where are the fun interactive games we saw @ E3? - andwewilldana, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1coming from somebody that personally works at a gamestop/ebgames; this list means nothing, and has meant nothing since we first got it a little over a month ago.
Gamestop loves their pre-orders (mostly because if the customer doesn't pick it up within a year that's a free five dollars for the company..but that's a different subject) and puts tentative dates, or approximate dates to give people the "opportunity" to pre-order the games. - alloneword, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hate to say it, but I think that is a fake. There are key games missing (Zelda, Mario). And the note at the top is a little odd. Only possibility is that this is a list of '3rd party' games. Hence the lack of Zelda or Mario.
- jp007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That doesn't really have THAT much to do with Sony, more just Square-Enix..
That makes me wonder if Nintendo would do that to Square-Enix, as I don't know if they'd want to disrupt their slowly mending but still rocky relationship. Nintendo needs more support from Sqare-Enix if it still at all cares about the traditional gamer. Lets face it. Sqare-Enix games sell systems. Sell A LOT of systems.
(god typing Square-Enix all the time these days seems so...lame) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1All I want to know is when Metroid Prime: Corruption is coming out. They promised it as a release title, but it doesn't look like it will be an actual first wave title. :(
