The Saturn and Dreamcast were great machines with some awesome games, but some of the decisions they made and the lackluster marketing in those days really hurt them.
I do love the Genesis though -- I still have mine and a handful of games. I think I need to go fish it out and play some Sonic and Vectorman :) - racketboy, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2Exit (on the PSP) is coming to the XBLA (if it hasn't already) and reminds me a bit of Comix Zone. It's not a beatemup, but they style is somewhat similar.
Comix Zone had a great style -- it's a shame it was never carried on further... - merdiesel, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2Seriously...
To think that if Sega just put a god damn DVD player in the Dreamcast things would have turned out entirely different. - merdiesel, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2Comic Zone was such a bad ass game...
I'd love to see a XBLA remake kinda like they did with the original Prince of Persia. - racketboy, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1Their recent stuff has really been mediocre.
The great stuff they made was the early stuff on the XBox like JSRF, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and Outrun 2
Most of the great developers they had moved on. - racketboy, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1And you haven't seen anything unless you've used it with a VGA cable :)
- Jolreal, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1Sega's games are great, especially during Megadrive, Saturn and Dreamcast ages.
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1Very true -- there were a lot of people that bought the PS2 just for the DVD player.
But Sony also had a lot of hype about graphics that scared off a lot of prospective Dreamcast owners... - Step1Mark, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1I loved the Dreamcast. I always thought it looked better then the ps2 graphically.
