Gamer runs Doom 3 on two (SLI) PCI Voodoo 2 (12mb) video cards.

3dfxzone.it — By using a few third party patches, a gamer has been able to run Doom 3 on an AMD XP 1800+, 256 MB of RAM, and two vintage Voodoo 2 PCI video cards. It looks like a completely different game, though it still is, apparently, very playable with 60 FPS. You MUST check out the screenshots.

I love it when people find interesting ways to use old technology. Mind you the final graphical look is . . . well . . . crap, but it's more of one of those "see it can be done; you owe me a beer" kinda deals anyways. Nice digg though it is a tad on the old side, but no big! Now if someone could get HL2 running on an old Amiga . . . that would be cool. :-P

Not to mention, you can roam across miles of countryside with only one intial load time, yet DOOM 3 makes you load every level. And of course, GTASA is more entertaining than DOOM 3, which is really all that matters.

    IT'S NOT THAT ***** DARK. If it is, then there's obviously something wrong with your computer monitor.

    Anyways, this is OLD AS HELL. I've seen this maybe 10 times already. It looks like crap too. Sub-Quake 2 quality graphics.
