Out of all the games I got last year I enjoyed Zelda: Phantom Hourglass the most, even more the Portal and Super Mario Galaxy. Does this mean that these games didn't deserve multiple "GOTY's"? I don't think so. A game doesn't have to be liked by you to be good just as it doesn't have to be liked by me to be good.

But the gameplay was the same stuff over and over... the only thing that kept me playing was the different suits and end bosses. Reminded me of Assassin's Creed

        No review yet (that I have seen) has mentioned a difference in the online play between the two versions and they've all raved about the multiplayer on both consoles. That said. I say PS3.

It's honestly the only reason I visit the site, once you see GT's video reviews, text reviews never seem enough anymore.

This once again shows that major media outlets, like Game Trailers, either don't understand how games are created or what critical components of game design, like gameplay, are.

      Euphoria is a model animation simulation. For nubs check Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphoria_%28software% ...

      This is best illustrated when they show Niko flying through the window of a car. The physics elements of the object "Niko" flying through the windshield and physically being launched down the street does have a gameplay impact; however Euphoria has nothing to do with these actions. However euphoria is controlling Niko's arms and legs flailing around, and the shattering glass; all of which do not impact the mechanics of the game. IF the location of Niko's apendedges translated physically on how he rolls accross the road then yes, Euphoria would have a gameplay impact; however this is clearly not the case.

I thought it was another souped up FPS of which the PC releases for a decade now, it even managed to destroy the anticipation that Halo 2 created through it's storyline. You may say that it has good online, but both Call of Duty 4 and UT (the old ones, at least) are far better. If it was not for Microsoft giving money to all sorts of people the game would be ranked as average.....

They don't really go over any plot details that you wouldn't already know after just 15-20 minutes in the game. It has a lot of nice video of gameplay and of the city in general, so I guess if you're trying to be completly in the dark about this game when you play it, you might be able to say there are spoilers. Since you are on the internet, and in the comments section for this game, you probably don't mind knowing something about it though...

PS3's hard drive also allows for shorter load times, 360 load times are about 30 seconds while PS3 are "less". I haven't read any numbers on PS3 load times, I'm guessing about half as long.

  • fluffyturtle, on 04/28/2008, -7/+1The game is extremely repetitive if you follow the storyline, a weeks worth of playtime doing the same types of missions over and over again.

    The good, no make that friggin spectacular, news? The multiplayer will blow your mind. The only two reasons to buy this game are 1) to spend 30 minutes to an hour just blowing crap up and running people over (this should be done everyday at least) and 2) for multiplayer. These two reasons however make it worth the price, heck if you don't have a current gen console yet you might want to get one for this game.
