- wolfiezero, on 12/17/2008, -3/+45It's a bit odd and sloppy. But if they tighten up the coach bit and limit the skits I think it will be good!
- Bauer22, on 12/17/2008, -5/+45So its Yahtzee and... who the ***** are the other guys and why am I watching them?
- Twag86, on 12/17/2008, -1/+40Still better than Attack of the Show.
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -1/+31You know the guys he keeps talking about playing Rock Band with in a *totally non-homosexual way*? Yeah, that's them.
- miggie, on 12/17/2008, -0/+29Anything is better than attack of the show
- Angus5, on 12/17/2008, -2/+20HI GUYS I'M KEVIN PERREIRA! DON'T YOU LIKE MY HIP CLOTHING AND MY USE OF INTERNET MEMES? LOL I'M SUCH A DOUCHEBAG
- PopASquatt, on 12/17/2008, -1/+17I really liked Yahtzee's rant on point and click adventure games. Probably the best part of the show.
- Forbizzle, on 12/17/2008, -3/+15HEAVILY scripted couch segments almost ruin this show completely. It's hard to ignore when people stutter over phrases they've clearly made before, pre-emptively laugh before another cast member delivers their wit, and deliver lines to the camera instead of too each other. Also, it may be easier to hide those kinds of problems if you didn't cut to close-ups as people fumble, or when they're looking at a different camera altogether.
See Totally Rad Show as a template of how to mix improv dilivery and scripted topics (Jeff and Alex more than Dan). - PhailQuail, on 12/18/2008, -1/+12It's a little meh, but hey, its a pilot episode, and it definitely has promise.
Also, nice to hear non-American accents in podcasts. - cthellis, on 12/18/2008, -0/+11Yahtzee was bored and angry.
- Arkanti, on 12/17/2008, -1/+11They need to stare at the cameras less, and better editing so less of a different cameras footage being used when they're clearly staring at another one.
Duke Nukem Forever team skits were hilarious. - dunnace, on 12/17/2008, -2/+12Good stuff, here's hoping you get a commission (please BBC).

- doshindude, on 12/17/2008, -0/+9Yahtzee kinda looks like the sniper from TF2.
- LoneWolf01, on 12/17/2008, -0/+8Guitar Hero.
- Arkanti, on 12/17/2008, -1/+8They're the two guys from the Australian Gamer podcast, which Yahtzee periodically appears in. Also, his friends and Yahtzee lives with Matt.
- Arkanti, on 12/18/2008, -0/+7Yahtzee looks angry.
- CommunistEagle, on 12/18/2008, -1/+7Yahtzee looks bored.
- RumaruDrathas, on 12/18/2008, -1/+7I know that the "creators" are trying to get the entire show to be picked up by some mega-entertainment conglomerate...
...but wouldn't a better alternative is to do the "Revision3" business model, whatever that may be (I always assume it has to do with leprechauns and tooth fairies). Come to think of it, they could whore themselves out and get some big name sponsors to pay for the show. And when you look at it that way, how different is that from being picked up by the above-mentioned mega-entertainment conglomerate?
As for the pilot itself, it's a bit rough to be honestly called great (rough around the edges, duh), but it's really good. - inactive, on 12/17/2008, -0/+5You're just saying that because of the hat.
- t2t2, on 12/17/2008, -0/+5Rock Band? Australia...
- gr00v3, on 12/17/2008, -1/+6TRS style game reviews + Yahtzee = MASSIVE WIN
- wolfiezero, on 12/17/2008, -1/+6I meant to say "couch" (bollocks)
- koffeekan, on 12/17/2008, -0/+5And the accent.
- inactive, on 12/17/2008, -0/+5When Yug said "Dual worlds work really, really well. Just check out all the Nintendo games that have used them over the years," I expected Yahtzee to come in and smack him.
- mechfluff, on 12/17/2008, -0/+5Didn't he make some point and click adventure games?
- PhailQuail, on 12/18/2008, -0/+5The Metal Gear skits need that sound effect when a guard spots you.
- inactive, on 12/17/2008, -0/+5This show needs to smoothen the edges a bit, but it is awesome.
- Utritum, on 12/17/2008, -3/+7I would like to see more of this. I think it has great potential.
- LoneWolf01, on 12/18/2008, -0/+4BBC would probably rape them and leave them in a corner to die.
- RubberChicken24, on 12/17/2008, -0/+4you're
- patricklove, on 12/17/2008, -2/+5too long. This would be a great show if it was 15 minutes long. And Yahtzee should have memorized his lines instead of having to read them off a sheet in the opening dialogue of the show. I love him in Zero Punctuation; whether this catches on is another question. Its also interesting that there is no advertising alongside the video; I wonder if they intend to monetize this new show?
- doshindude, on 12/18/2008, -0/+3And the red shirt/vest.
- tehWhisp, on 12/18/2008, -1/+4I don't know about you guys, but I've watched about two minutes of this so far and I can already tell that the guy on the right is way too awkward and uptight.
- Greanbeens, on 12/18/2008, -0/+3I would love to see more of this!
- mrSimon, on 12/18/2008, -0/+3I dont like how even though they're talking to each other... they look like they're talking AT us. =O
- mikekearn, on 12/18/2008, -0/+3Rough around the edges, but if they can smooth out their line deliveries, tone down the sketches a bit, and hopefully get more of those bits like the ones where they talk about game physics and point-and-click adventure games, they could have an absolute smashing success on their hands.
- inactive, on 12/17/2008, -0/+2Dugg for The Dig
- Theunluckydip, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Revision 3 maybe?
- Angus5, on 12/17/2008, -1/+3They're Australian, not British.
- daedalous, on 12/17/2008, -0/+2FULL HARDCORE: Metal Bro
The hell was going on there? They could have taken that name so many incredible places... D: - inactive, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Hey! Hope you're still coming back to read these replies!
I'm going to be honest here: If you watch the whole thing, it's great. If you watch the first couple of minutes and quit, then yeah, it's awful.
By the way, do you know how butt-hurt you look when you come back and reply "Digg down! I love it! I'm not hurt at all! You know I'm right!" -- very, very butt hurt.
So yeah, consensus is in, and you're not on the bandwagon. No need to cry to us about it! - WhiteKnight210, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Great stuff guys!
- PatMan33, on 12/17/2008, -2/+4Glad to see Matt and Yug doing this! It's like the Australian Gamer podcast on my television! Having Yahtzee on board is an added bonus! :)
- BarryChuckle, on 12/17/2008, -1/+3That was good. Apart from the dodgy studio green screen, and those masterchief/snake interludes which, well, I just skipped because the first 2 or 3 were rubbish.
- SickAndDying, on 12/17/2008, -0/+2Did u see the alienware ad...
- discdeath, on 12/30/2008, -0/+2But he lives in Australia
- LoneWolf01, on 12/18/2008, -3/+5Even though Yahtzee's British and the sniper's Australian...
- Jektal, on 12/24/2008, -0/+1I agree w/ MrSimon, they should take a cue from Top Gear and ditch the couch for 3 chairs which they can face at each other.
- thecheesemonkey, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1the guy sitting in the middle scares me, his head keeps wobbling side to side like one of those nodding dogs you get in cars and his smile just screams "come get the candy over here kiddies"
