While I agree that the 360 version looks more appealing due to the extra features, people will have their console of preference. Stop trying to shove your personal console of choice down everyone throat every two seconds (this goes for all fanboys).

- xNIBx, on 04/18/2008, -1/+4There is a reason why Rockstar hasnt announced a pc version or released the pc version at the same time. This is what i wrote on some other digg post.
The game isnt announced for the pc, because if they announce it, many people will wait for the pc version and that is a problem because the pc version will be easily pirated therefore rockstar will lose potential sales. But if people think they can only get a console version, they will most likely buy it, because you cant easily pirate games on a console(you need a flashed dvd drive for the 360 and you cant pirate ps3 games).
The sad thing is that if gta came out on the pc at the same time with consoles, it would sell really really good IMO. But now when they release it like 1 year later, it will sell pretty badly, simply because many people would have gotten the console version by then. And once it sells pretty badly, Rockstar will blame piracy for that. That's what companies do. And even though piracy is partly responsible for lowering sales, it is far from the main reason that pc versions of games sell less than console ones.
I bet starcraft 2 will easily sell into the millions. Games like sins of a solar empire, that have 0 advertisement, sell hundreds of thousands of copies. I bet that fallout 3 might sell better on pc than on consoles. Pc gaming is far from dead, but companies would prefer it if it died.
