But I like the idea of them changing it up and turining it into a zombie game. Like they said they already have a great world to do it with. It would be cool if they could licence it out for other games as well. Like a GTA racing game. It seems to me all you would have to do is tweak the driving system, and do some point to point tracking system.

If you go to the Rockstar Social Club page now, there's a news item that explains the whole infection thing. It's just a little Zombie-themed Halloween thing for the multiplayer. A few players were infected with a contagious "virus." Players who are killed by an infected player will have their player model default to "Zombie," and will infect anyone they kill. If you log into the Rockstar website, you can see whether you're infected, as well as a map that shows how many people have been infected in different continents.
It's possible (albeit unlikely) that they're planning to do a Zombie add-on as well, but it's pretty clear that the 'Quarantine' is a reference to the multiplayer thing. It's a shame, because a Zombie-themed add-on could be pretty amazing; but odds are that Rockstar will take the relatively safe route and just pump out some extra missions, some new vehicles, and maybe a new area. - 12angrynuns, on 10/23/2008, -0/+13Would the zombies be slow and stupid or fast and piss-off like in the dawn of the dead remake? i would prefer the piss-off zombie, it wouldn't be fun if you could just run away from the zombies.
