- nklnch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Where does it say anywhere that GRAW 2 will use DirectX 10?
I read the Ubisoft PR here: http://www.ubi.com/US/News/Info.aspx?nId=4307
and it says nothing about DirectX 10 or Vista (which is the only platform that runs DirectX 10).
I'd also imagine that they will get high quality water and fog effects with OpenGL on the PS3. - madalinmadalin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3it's not true, a version for PC will appear and, if you read more carefully it uses DirectX 10 to produce effects like fog, water movement, destructible environment, that is the reason why it appears in spring 2007, to let directx 10 and Vista appear on the market. Don't talk if you are not informed.
- nklnch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"Directx 10 brought a lot of improvements in GRAW 2"
GRAW2 isn't using DirectX 10 and the improvements are entirely unrelated to DirectX.
None of the announced platforms even support DirectX 10. Windows XP only supports DirectX 9, Xbox 360 only supports DirectX 9, and PS3 uses OpenGL and doesn't use Microsoft DirectX at all (GRAW 2 is announced for PS3)
