They needed to pump up the volume in this video. I saw it live, rewound my Tivo, turned it up, and could hear Adam Sessler trying to stop the cut away, and you can only kinda hear his faint protesting here.
Sessler: "You guys enjoying this?"
TRAILER
Sessler: (whispering angrily) "What? No. It's still showing!"
Unidentified male: "I know."
Sessler: "It's still being shown. This is unprofessional! It's still show -"

You know he wants to do a good show and give real reviews, but the higher ups just want him to make Webb look good and act like a jerkoff. Even Kevin (the other Kevin) has a bad wrap. I didn't like him when he came in right before I stopped watching G4, but I could have seen him fitting in with the TechTV guys if the channel stayed up. He's certainly no crazier than Savage.

I will never ever watch G4! I gave them a chance when they took TechTv and all its gold away! but now screw them!

They make up TV shows so they can get advertisers for specifics markets and make money. To the top brass, the ads are a billion times more important than the actual TV show content. To you, you miss the end of a Halo trailer when they cut away. To the execs, they lose thousands of dollars if they don't.
And while it may have cut away to a G4 commercial, it's what was set up in sequence, and they're not going to stall in and possibly lose time for paying commercials.
