- krschuerman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I'm 30 with 3 kids, my wife thinks I'm too old to play games so I figure that qualifies me as an older gamer.
- RWTechgage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Damn that is one professional looking magazine.
- SkiddyMcCrash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The site is for gamers 25 and older, so yes you count as an older gamer :)
- JeyNyce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Great Mag, Is there any way to get issue 1 & 2?
- codemonkey420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7LOL. Yeah, had to use some l33t speak to keep with the times :-). We're a serious group of gamers, that does not always mean we have to be 100% mature. We know when to "turn it off" and be a parent.
I hope you enjoy the content, if you have any feedback (dougmc) or anyone else, please feel free to e-mail us. We want to constantly make the magazine better so reader feedback is fairly important (given we do this for fun, why not make it better right?)
CodeMonkey - orb_nsc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I like how the TI 99 4/A is introduced as "The Greatest Home Computer of all time (from 1979 until maybe 1980)". I felt exactly the same way. My TI blew my little mind early on, but it didn't take long for it to look obsolete and dated. And by 1983, even TI walked away from it. Bastards.
But you gotta love a computer clad in stainless steel! - xssmoke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6woot woot! Issue 3 is out! Awesome cover art guys!
- codemonkey420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Well, its free, so we get what we pay for. We actually have a fairly extensive list of editors that do some of this on their free time. So it's not perfect, but then again to get perfection we'd have to pay some professionals to get on board...we just do not have those type of funds at the moment.
However, we're always looking for volunteers that work in this field to help us out (during their spare time).
Thanks for the feedback though, its appreciated.
CodeMonkey - gaara7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6YES! Look at page 71. It's a great article. :D
- Derfla, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Hehe - 25 and up qualifies you M8!
- thedove, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Damn, that's quality. The regular print game magazines better take notice. This is every bit as good if not better, it's free, and I don't need to get off my ass to read it.
- Derfla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Go here to download the other issues. Thanks for the coments!
http://www.2old2play.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=16 - jccalhoun, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7I"m 32, do I count as an older gamer? I'd really like to read this, but since it is for older gamers, I'm not sure if I'm old enough...
- Tantrum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4CodeMonkey loves the attention the magazine generates :)
- doodirock2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4also www.toooldtoplay.com is just a terrible URL.

- DarthCestual, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's great to give something back to an awsome site and a kick ass magazine! I'm very proud to be a part of 2old2play.com!
- doodirock2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3what a difference a year makes.
- Tantrum, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42old2play does it again.
- dougmc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Well, I'm 37, and I play computer games, so I'm probably their target audience.
As I wait for the magazine to download (2:33 remaining), let me point out, that
1) I am _not_ too old to play, and
2) as somebody who considers himself literate, and perhaps I'm just an old fart, I do not feel that
`2' is not an acceptable subsitute for `too' unless you're typing on some sort of marginal
keyboard like one would find on a phone. Morse code is another place where hyper-reductionist
English is generally acceptable. In any other situation, it makes you look illiterate.
`2old2play' sounds like something I'd see on myspace.
Oho, download complete! Let's see what we've got ...
Well, beyond `G33K SP34K', the writing doesn't look as juvenile as the name suggested, so
that's a good start :) - codemonkey420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2and you're cover art kicked ass man :)
- G00mper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Great job as usual!
- Derfla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I agree the art is awesome!
- antsun85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1seems like a xbox love fest. the next gen consoles comparison is wouldn't appear on any respectable game magazine. the same has to be said of the several other console articles. learn to write folks....
- haunted, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3dang but I would love to proofread for your magazine . . . the only thing keeping me from asking is my sporadic online availability. Mebbe when that changes . . .
- MisterMr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Direct link of issue #3
http://ia301110.us.archive.org/3/items/2o2pMagazine_Issue_3/2o2pMagazine_Issue_3.pdf - Aww12345, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3You guys have some good content, but you must get yourselves an editor or two for spelling, sentence structure, and general proofreading. It takes away from what would otherwise be a strong start.
- toomore, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Good Dugg...
I need read it a lot... - wush, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12kewl4skool
