- theratdotus, on 10/12/2007, -5/+137ok, so his parents can afford to bring his ass all around the world, but cant fprk over some $$$ to buy him a ds?
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -4/+76@ nightblade2oo4
with guns like that, who needs sleeves? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+68That gameboy will be stuck on Godmode forever now .
- devindotcom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+60Ha! That's great! The kid's rubbing his gameboy on the jesus slab. Excellent, thanks.
- addrake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+26People that don't read summaries make the Hulk angry
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28No!, this is all a big coincidence belive it or not... damn man are you retarded?, no ***** he is just posing.
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23@novaHands

"I realize this is probably all planned out by the parents" - blankartist, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24More like losers unite.
- TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19ADDRAKE SMASH
- aywwts4, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16I would say these things are even more impressive when your young, and do a lot for shaping your view of the world at a fundemental age.
I mean, yeah no sense bringing toddlers somwhere when you literaly wont remember it, but once the whole long term memory thing starts working, its time to start broadening your child's horizons, before they become jaded teens.
In other news, Nintendo needs to use this kid, and this idea for advertisements. Send the kid a free DS lite and some plane tickets for his family atleast. - thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18Forget reading the end of your comment -- THIS guy would rather bury it
zing! - NanoStuff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13The kid knows if he wants to see stonehenge he can just go on flickr anytime. If you're in the middle of a pokemon battle, looking up just isn't an option.
- JaytB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12These are great pictures for when he grows up. He can tell his children "I have already been to all of these great places, when I was still playing my gameboy" and show them the pictures. He'd probably only have to explain what a gameboy is.
All in all it's a nice idea. - achoo5000, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15Lol for wearing the yarmulke while playing in from of the wailing wall.
- Vicille, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8-1 digg for _your_ parents having a kid without the proper application process.
- CanceledCzech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Hehe, I expected to see an article about some obsessive gameboy player that the media is exploiting to continue to make gamers seem like wastes of society. I'm glad I was wrong, cool picture set.
- Tolzmaniac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9that mustve been one helluva vacation
- drbroccoli, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Sure, if the "World" is just England and Israel....
- OnlyShawn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7bob woodward look out....here's an investigative journalist in the making!
- Elektriq, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14Pretty creative actually.
- darkgarlic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I see kids in Costco with GBSPs stumbling over displays while their parents try to coax them along.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Apparently "the world" now consists of mostly the UK
- devindotcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Nah, he just gets an extra life.
- TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7nice copy & paste action

dumbass...
@hammydude
did you notice how each of the pictures of the famous places have him faceing at the camera for a almost perfect shot of it? do you think thats by accident?
also did you even read the description "I realize this is probably all planned out by the parents" - shrewduser, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6that kid is what, 6? when your six you don't give a flying ***** about some rocks in a circle or a really big clock....
what does this really prove? that 6 year olds prefer 6 year old stuff to grown up stuff? - ptrcd003, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What the hell was that?
- hosvos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3check out this video of the pics
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebzLb_xD5I4 - Steelfox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I hope your PSP breaks. Trust me, it'll be for the best.
- gbacci, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I realize these are staged, but wtf does a kid give a crap about a bunch of brick stone buildings? What is the point of taking a kid that age on this trip anyway?
- gurgg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2im a new photography student and im beginning to admire the irony of some photos
cutting edge! - AprilEthereal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3This is a neat little art project, but you have to admit that although all of us diggers are probably in some way or another like this boy, there is what some would call a pretty big issue addressed as well - this happens quite a lot in the world now...
It'd would be awesome to have the cash to shell out and travel to all of those places, though. - jayhawk88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Advance War titles are nice if you're into turn-based strategy.
- JuyLe, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5It's not really around the WORLD... But it's a funny idea, the kid looks really serious.
- 3amfriday, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ahh yes...childhood...being dragged around to fascinating historical sites...how I miss those days.
- manicdvln, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This would be a great ad for nintendo. Genius marketing.
- Halodude1489, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When you were younger? psp is only what 2 years old? how much younger would you have been?
- qwertydvorak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2ya, but he has to wait 3 days before he can play that extra life.
- Cybjorg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3A word of explanation. This is my kid, and one day we happened to notice that quite a few of our pictures of him in various world locations contained him playing his Game Boy. This gave us an idea to start trying to "play Game Boy around the world." To answer some questions, yes, many of the pictures are posed. My son is generally more interested in the location than the Game Boy (although exceptions do occur). As for purchasing a Nintendo DS, don't worry; he's getting one for Christmas. As for the "Around the World" title, I am aware that there are basically only pictures of the UK and Israel. I have more pictures of him in other locations, but just haven't had the time to get them online yet. Also this is a work in progress, so more future locations are planned.
- dpierce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They had the royal palace in Madrid in there too. But I agree with your idea; yes, it's certainly not "the world."
- HumanWaste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As much as I'm sure that kid loves his GameBoy, I'm pretty confident that those photos were planned.
- takdiego, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1with the plane tickets they went through..they could afford to get the kid a freakin DS
- FISSURE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0XD thats awesome.
I wish i had money to go around the world like that. - OnlyShawn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2well...i'd bet they live in the UK (as that's where most of the items are), and took one trip to jerusalem. not exactly a TON of cash on the line there.
- Swampthing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So your kid will get the ***** kicked out of him daily in school for being such a dork absorbed in his Gameboy Advance and ignoring the world around him, but at least you'll get your laughs, chuckles, and guffaws for making him your stooge...
- drunkjack, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I think this is like an IQ test for people. Anyone who thinks that's ALL THIS KID DID on the trip is a *****' moron.
The pics were staged, "Okay Billy, get out the Gameboy!" - Swampthing, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4How about taking a round of Webshots pictures showing all of us sitting in front of our computers, eyes glazed over, engrossed in Digg, while the rest of the world evolves around us....
Wife is in the next room having wild sex with your best friend, your dog humping the bejesus out of your new cat, little Jimmy playing with the Clorox bottle and just popped off the top, and little sis is grinding her two front teeth on your Criterion DVD collection because you forgot to make breakfast for her today... - volcompimp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Id definitely like to know what he's playing. I have several DS games (I'm addicted to buying them) and 1 GBA game (Final Fantasy 4). I wish I knew of some killer GBA titles.
- mutatron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That kid looks to be about six, but my we our daughter with us to Europe when she was 8 and she got a lot out of it. The only time she ate American food on the whole trip was when we left her with some friends so mommy and daddy could see Paris. They took her to McDonald's and rented Superman in French.
