- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -2/+44^.^
...
I just realised that I have no hope of procreating. - eramos, on 03/22/2009, -5/+34this is the nerdiest ***** ive ever seen
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+20isnt cefka spelt with a k?
- DforSpiD, on 03/22/2009, -0/+16It's always fun to name him Nanaki at the start of the game.
The dialog goes something like...
"Who is Nanaki?"
"Nanaki is Nanaki"
"Oh Nanaki!" - Mackofalltrades, on 03/22/2009, -0/+16Digg must've casted Doom on their server.
- OptionalPirate, on 03/22/2009, -0/+15They weren't clever to begin with.
- adventflux, on 03/22/2009, -0/+15Not enough, apparently. You forgot earth :D
- museo, on 03/22/2009, -0/+13Shouldn't it be fire, thunder, blizzard, water, air, dark and holy? I've wasted to much of my youth on these games >.<

- withoutamartyr, on 03/22/2009, -4/+16Guys, knock it off with these. They aren't clever anymore.
- chris0374, on 03/22/2009, -0/+11omg i don't recognize more than half these characters, let alone remember the names of those i do recognize. shame on myself. (off to replay some final fantasies..)
- nukeleearr, on 03/22/2009, -1/+12Auron still kicks ass, though
- sweeneyowns, on 03/22/2009, -0/+11this would be nice to combine with the periodic table quilt.
http://www.sfu.ca/chemistry/ptable_quilt/index.htm ... - nochilinopity, on 03/22/2009, -3/+14In Japan his name's Cefca
- psients, on 03/22/2009, -0/+11I don't get it. The periodic table has very specific groupings. The metals are in one area and the inert gases are in another and so forth. There don't appear to be any order to these tables at all, not even an attempted fanciful one.
Edit: Ohhh, the atomic symbols are meant to correspond with the names of the characters... man, that is just stupid. Defeats the whole purpose of why the periodic table is arranged the way it is. - OptionalPirate, on 03/22/2009, -2/+12Regrettably, I saw this on the front page.
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -1/+10oh come on, you know which this is.
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9waiting for a periodic table of video game periodic tables
- WhySoCereals, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9Nanaki. Go play again.
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -3/+11Auron ftw
- TriGuy140, on 03/22/2009, -5/+13I don't get it, how do any of the characters relate to their element in any fashion? Looks like random picture pasting to me.
- Lucent, on 03/22/2009, -0/+8Check out this wacky creation, a periodic table of ... elements? Whatever those are! http://www.ptable.com/
- JamesBondQ, on 03/22/2009, -0/+7This table is not periodic. If you're going to do it like this, you might as well just put some characters in alphabetical order.
- NathanielJ, on 03/22/2009, -1/+8Well, not really since in Japanese there's no letter "C" obviously. There's no reason that it should be transliterated to C rather than K, or vice-versa.
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+7valid point though - I expected actual 'elements', not 'character thumbnails laid out to mimic the real periodic table and overlaid with cleverly abbreviations of their names'.
- compgeek, on 03/22/2009, -0/+7*facepalm* How can you forget a HUGE story point from FF VII?
- Dougman82, on 03/22/2009, -0/+6Nanaki...
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+6Cheap buzz.
- Sc4v3ng3r, on 03/22/2009, -1/+7eg; Cl = Cloud
Se = Sephiroth
Lame if you ask me. And lots of character I dont recall their names. - XkenX87, on 03/22/2009, -4/+9I saw this and said I hope this doesnt make it to the front page
- Aurabolt, on 03/22/2009, -3/+8Japanese = Cefka
English = Kefka - mdoom, on 03/22/2009, -0/+4Thank you!
- wheresmclean, on 03/22/2009, -0/+4#34
- Khast, on 03/22/2009, -0/+4No Cid? There was a Cid in every final fantasy, and should have been put in Cadmium.
- EdgarVerona, on 03/22/2009, -1/+5Why do we keep getting these on Digg? Yes, yes... we know you have the ability to copy and paste images from games/pop culture/media and put them in square boxes so it's arranged to look like the periodic table of elements. That fact is neither newsworthy, nor even new. Sorry to be sore about this, but it gets annoying seeing one of these pop up every week and actually end up on the front page.
- whywait, on 03/23/2009, -0/+4if they could some how incorporate the actual organization for the table (columns share element characteristics etc.), THEN i'd be impressed. this guy/girl just has too much time on his hands.
- cgruber, on 03/22/2009, -0/+4All that time and effort when typing "I'm a huge ***** nerd" is only 5 words..
- Layne, on 03/22/2009, -1/+4Ti's not Tifa? That's half her god damn name as well as half the word for the reason anyone likes her.
- shiftless, on 03/22/2009, -0/+3People still have jobs?
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -1/+44 and 6 are the ones that matter. The REAL 3 is boring as *****.
- sakin89, on 03/22/2009, -1/+4Next week on digg, "Insert Name Here": Periodic Table of Elements
- Ultimeaciax, on 03/22/2009, -0/+3Awesome! But he/she should include the atomic mass too...for practicality
- cokpendejo, on 03/22/2009, -0/+3Cid is under C. I was so upset when I read this, I replied to a comment for the first time in maybe 2 years.
- li0n, on 03/22/2009, -1/+4no Squall?
- badlogik, on 03/23/2009, -0/+3Buried for inaccuracy. There are only 4 elements. Earth, Wind, Water, and Firaga.
- bukiyou, on 03/22/2009, -0/+3I'm not sure why I expected to see something more clever than a periodic table of final fantasy characters when I clicked on the link.
