Damn couldnt he open some apps? - furtwan1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7and because its not interesting anymore. neat linux runs on a computer...
- shit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2>> It has built in usb 2.0 ports like the ps2.
PS2 has USB 1.1 ports. USB Extreme/Advance users wish it had 2.0. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4More dupes about this than actual PS3 units.
- MaXiMuM32, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I suggest you wait at least a couple of months before complaining about lack of games. The PS3 just came out 3 days ago.
- greenamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice!
I wonder if you can install the PPC version of OS X? - Lounger540, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would like to see someone try to get Mac-On-Linux running.
- shakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2But you can do the same thing with an original XBox for much cheaper. That's what I don't get about Linux on a PS3. It used to be that a console could make a cheap media center PC, but with the PS3 you can actually buy a real computer for cheaper. Maybe it wouldn't be as powerful, but for a media center you don't need that much power.
What this may be useful for is creating a cluster to crunch some numbers. - matthewaaron, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9Why run linux on a PS3? If you want to have your OS crash and reboot every 30 minutes save yourself $600 and install windows ME on your PC.
- evilspoons, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You plug in a mouse and keyboard to the USB ports.
- t0ny, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"PS3 comes with USB adaptors. You can even plug in external hard drives."

On stable hardware I've never had Linux crash ( that I dident cause ). So I would say Linux is more stable then any version of windows even ME. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Fools and their money soon parted?
- hchaudh1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1PS3 comes with USB adaptors. You can even plug in external hard drives.
- username9000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Yay!
"I can use Linux on my PS3, with completely limited functionality. Its so neat I am going to walk over to my computer and make a post about how cool it is!" - MM005, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Imagine all the pirating! I can't wait!
- Microdot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2wow. you are t3h sm4rT
- LanceHardenburg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wow I can pay 600 dollars and get a ps3 and then spend time modding it to run linux! Oh wait couldn't I have purchased a pc that would do the same thing for less than 300 dollars? Why are you wasting your time?
- LightsOut06, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6how is this not a front page story? This is cool. Imagine the media center possibilities. Amarok anyone?
- Smeed, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1If the cell is 35x faster than a pentium then why isnt everyone buying a PS3 to emulate windows and run crysis maxed out?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1YES LINUX JUST LIKE PSP, BUT,
Where are the ***** games? PSP round 2? - klank, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Get this mother ***** dupe off my mother ***** plane!
