Everyone, listen to the whole thing. They call him as an "expert on school shootings" but he just goes straight into video games... sorry, "murder simulators." Oh, and he managed to bring in Newgrounds.com and a "flash version of GTA." And, of course, the Faux News reporters all suck him off afterward, calling him "eloquent" and "a specialist." God, it makes me SICK just thinking about it. People can't "train" on video games. They don't teach you how to shoot a gun. You can't "rehearse" a school shooting in a game with no schools in it! Let's avoid all the real causes, like guns and emotional trauma or instability. You know, restricting second amendment rights would actually at least have a _logical connection_. Why the first amendment, the one held most dearly by many Americans, the one completely unrelated to this tragedy? Right, because Video Games are an "evil" scapegoat. Oh, well, twenty years from now politicians will be gamers themselves, right? - ucbrave92, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i have a feeling, at this rate, 20 years from now is not going to be very pretty.
imagine the future.
1) everything will be PC to the max and if you say something that isn't probably would mean jail time. (do you honestly go through life now without AT LEAST once a day saying something that COULD be taken by someone as offensive?)
2) the country will be a prison.
- shooting at elems & high schools have resulted in everyone being tagged like cattle, searched like inmates and placed in what are basically minimum security prisons. I have even seen some with razor wire fenced perimeters.
- next will probably be a mall or something of the such, then the same thing will happen
- then a subway or something and the same reaction
3) they are pushing as hard as they can for a national id w/ biometric information attached that under proposed tax ideas you will have to scan when you buy and sell. (i really don't like the idea of being tracked and traced.) also this is one of the big reasons they are pushing global warming. they want a carbon tax to be put into place. then they will put the tracking devices in the car tags to track and tax you by the mile.
4) the borders are wide open and continue to stay that way. This will probably turn us into a 3rd world country within the next 50 years because we have become such a welfare state that the country will be more bankrupt than it currently is.
I am really scared what it will be like 20 years from now. Truthfully, I doubt the good ole USA will really be the place I want to live 20 years from now.
I really think in about a week or so while emotions are all high on this event they will probably start a push to get rid of our guns, and when that happens it's all over.
