FEAR - too scared to work?

kodewulf.com — This is a blog post of my experience with the game F.E.A.R. from Vivendi. I bought it, and it doesn't work. Not because I have a lame PC, but because SecuROM decided that I have something installed that it doesn't like. Since when can software companies decide what you are allowed to have installed on your PC?

  • kodewulf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@weesee & Double-Z: Virtual CD and Nero isn't what I'd call pirating software. And Daemon-Tools does have legitimate uses.

    @ziekke: At least I've made a contribution to Digg in the last 69 days. And I'm not the only one linking to a blog. Have a look around, you might be surprised how many stories on the front page links to blogs.

    @thinkbox: DOOM3 worked for me, no problems. I think SecuROM updated their software very recently. The retail version of F.E.A.R. worked, but the update to version 1.2 is the one complaining.
