Thats funny I just watched it with no problems on my debian system in mplayer. You just need to get the codecs or update your stuff. - iaskedTGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Funny!
- squeevey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone catch what the message said?
It was too fast in slow mo.
(plus i already deleted the movie) - sovereign3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was tough to watch :(
Sad to see a perfectly good PSP go like that... - hax0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0matrixsjd wrote: "Gah, WMV no digg"
Why do you say that? What video codec would you recommend? Don't tell me something most people would have to download a special codec... Personally I think it's smart to use a codec that over 90% of computers come with and will play automatically without having to download a separate codec. Also, I'm not a huge fan of Microsoft, but I think it's stupid that they can't bundle a free video player and browser into their operating system. Granted, I use Firefox as my primary browser, however that's because it's better. I also use media player classic and videolan... - Quest-Master, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I wanna see the message.. interesting video though.

- thecoolestcow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ugh, i hate WMV10. i can't watch it on mplayer in debian.
- isellchickens, on 02/06/2008, -0/+0^^ they probably just return it and get a new one.
- Crazy_8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Take it back to wal*mart. They'll take anything back. XD
- streetracer2646, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow, that was dumb not to mention a really dumb way to waste $250
- msgmsg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its so disgusting that losers actually take the time to cause destruction of property. Powerhungry morons.
On a side note:
Azbaja, die. Just because your mommy won't get you a cell phone doesn't mean that nobody else gets one. Punk. - Tonyisbad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0***** give me the ***** brick for free, i'll replace the mobo on it for 100 bucks, thus having a 100 dollar PSP. done.
- binarypower, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's an interesting blog they've got there!
- Crazy_8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tonyisbad: There ya go, you've got the right idea.
Actualy, i've been thinking about getting a PSP, maybe I should see if I can find a bricked one off someone, get a new motherbord and make it at 60% of the price. Actualy, I could just go on ebay and find a bricked one for $5, thus, a PSP for $105! (Assuming nothing else is messed up) - thecapitalizt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0now that we've all had fear stuck in our hearts, we should pour money into f-secure since they will now make an anti-virus software for our psp. Just as I can buy an antivirus for my palm, why not something for my psp?
- pdlevin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0now the little kiddies who had the free time to write the brick code are gonna find a way to send it to PSPs wirelessly
- Jakesterama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why don't you just buy a brand new psp with a warranty and do this? then return it and get a new one.
Or better yet, buy a new one, switch the labels, then return the bricked one in the new box. - karras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"$250 is nothing" to WHO?
- BxBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting.. now i'm scared to do anything with my PSP! :(
- stevey5036, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"your psp, is now as usefull and entertaining, as a brick."
hahahaha - Zeuser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"wow, that was dumb not to mention a really dumb way to waste $250"
$250 is nothing. Several people probably blow more in the same amount of time when they visit Vegas and don't get crap in return. It wasn'tdumb at all. This is an ati-virus firm. You know that they're going to tear apart the PSP and figure out a way to counter the trojan. It's their job.
Besides, it can be reflashed by Sony so all is not lost. It's just a matter of time before someone figures out a way to re-flash your PSP at home. So for those of you out there dumb enough to "downgrade" your PSP, don't give up just yet.
Next comment: "why don't you just buy a brand new psp with a warranty and do this? then return it and get a new one."
Because you voided your warranty so you can't return it. - Zeuser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Well, Bill Gates and the like, $250 is nothing. I also know a few 8 figure salaried people who spend more than $250 on stuff they never use. That's the same as bricking a PSP really; a waste of money.
My boss bought a Pocket-PC,used it once and it's now in the bottom of his drawer collecting dust. It probably still works but it's still a waste of money if you don't use it. - Matrixsjd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Gah, WMV no digg
- Snojan77, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That was a bit over-rated.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0and yes, I'm using a dos browser.
arachne rocks!!
http://www.cisnet.com/glennmcc - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0installed the latest codecs, no go.
why the ***** can't they just use mpeg? It works on anything, even msdos.
http://www.multimediaware.com/qv/
there's no other reason to use anything else, wmv is jerky, it skips, it smears, it doesn't render well, it's slow, it's proprietory, it's lame, and it's garbage. - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0As has been said, it's not a waste of money you tools.. They are an anti-virus firm, you think they never f***ed a PC trying out a virus first? Then trying to counter it?
As for the Brick/PSP, has noone found a way to repair it? (Without returning/bugging Sony), i.e ripping out the flash-memory thing and overwriting it from a PC? (Not sure about what the PSP stores it system data on, but if it's editable, I'd guess it's flash-based..)
- Ben - digdugdig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Ugh, i hate WMV10. i can't watch it on mplayer in debian.
Works well with Fedora Core 4 and Mplayer w/the Windows dlls. :)
Funny video, but very cheesy intro. :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0WMV9 wind0ze crappy video of course.
