- dingdingding, on 10/12/2007, -8/+26Jet Set Radio should have been #1. Otherwise a good list.
- gnatinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17It was on the Gamecube, therefore it is already on the Wii
- popabawa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Heathen! :)
Samba de Amigo was just about perfect on the DC, the only thing wrong with it was the incredibly high cost of the offical maracas and the need for wires and sensors.
None of that is an issue with the Wii so BRING IT ON! - dongcha9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Jet Grind Radio was the ***** back in the day. Unfortunately I lost it back in the day. But it was sweet back in the day.
- number9ine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Why not release a mic that plugs into the wiimote and come up with a game as original as Seaman. That would be great.
- ExSlashdotter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Re-release or rehash. Call it whatever you want, but they need to bring back the Powerstone franchise regardless of what system they choose.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I have a Dreamcast to play Dreamcast games on.
- UglyShirts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Screw re-release. Jet Set/Grind Radio needs some damn sequels on the current-gen systems. The DC and Xbox versions were two of my all-time favorites.
Look, I know sales were disappointing, but those were just stellar, fully-realized games. They STILL hold up. - Salgat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6No doubt. Powerstone 3 needs to be released badly.
- lonedust, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I had a dream a few months ago playing Virtual-On on Wii. This was an arcade made by SEGA that was released on Saturn and later DC for its sequels a while back, http://www.virtualon.net/
- DiggingDeep, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Finish Shenmue
- arcele, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5A major snub is House of the Dead, which may not count in this case since it was an arcade game ported to Dreamcast. But me and a friend were playing Rayman earlier today, the mini game that is like House of the Dead, and we said then that it would be kick ass if it was multiplayer like House of the Dead....Jet Set Radio was the only one of these games that I actually played on my DC back in the day, and that would be a great Wii Game as well.
- HAKdragon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Have you seen any sailors around here?
- Jemulov, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I need to brush the dust off of my old systems. I haven't taken a trip down nostalgia lane in a while.
- whiteguysamurai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Or better yet, the xbox360, the controller is just about the same.
- wiihuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5NFL 2k?
- cambrown99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I LOVED Samba de Amigo. It even made Ricky Martin songs bearable.
I do not understand why Sega hasn't jumped all over this for the Wii. - motang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I am feeling the same way I want to play Shenmu and ask for sailors! Too bad this system has such a short life span.
- portis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Let's not forget Crazy Taxi too!
- sachmul, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6JSRF is the reason I bought the XBOX
- gnatinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4There are a crapload of Dreamcast games that would do great on the Wii, this is a good list of 5 though.
Chu Chu Rocket would rock so hard 4 player with wiimotes - instantrunoff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Samba de Amigo is my favorite game ever. I would only clarify Space Channel 5 Part 2 and add Cosmic Smash.
- paiguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3As soon as I saw the title of this post, I immediately thought of chu-chu rocket. It fits in with other party games we've seen in the lineup so far, and the pointing mechanism on the wii would be a lot more intuitive. It's one of the few games that cause me to yell out loud at other people for little reason.
On second thought... maybe my life would be happier without those cat things... - an0nymous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3SAMBA DE AMIGO!
Perfect choice for number 1.
I still have involuntary twitches when I hear "Volare" - kwazyJAS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Powerstone for PSP loading times are long and its hard to find other people to play with.
It would be sweet if they made a Powerstone 3, but kept the fighting style more like Powerstone 1. 2 was only about the items.
and it should NOT be released for Wii. - scabbers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3COSMIC SMASH
- ike368, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i always thought they should make a sequel, but i didnt have xbox
- triscuitbiscuit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Who thinks that the original crazy taxi should have been included on there? That game was amazing. Although it isn't an epic game to the likes of Halo, Gears of War, God of War, etc., it is still a very fun game.
- SwankRock3000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Wasn't there suppose to be a sequel to "Seaman"??
Wii would be an ideal console for it, I think. - DjOverEZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It upsets me that the badass Sega of years past is no longer the Sega of today.
- an0nymous, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4http://www.seaman.tv/index2.html
enjoy. - grumbel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Samba de Amigo is interesting, but all the other games on that list already got rereleases or sequels on other consoles (Jet Set Radio: XBox, Rez and Space Channel 5: PS2, Chu Chu Rocket: GBA), so there is little need to rerelease them again. Powerstone would be a much more interesting candidate and of course Shenmue.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+2I wish I can find the Jet Set Radio soundtrack.
- slickrate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I would rather see a jet set radio sequel on the 360 or ps3. it would look amazing and taking away from the motions on the controller in the xbox version for tagging made that version much more fun and faster. So really in the wii version on screen it would just tell which motion to make to get that stoke of artwork. what else is gonna justify this being on the system? jumping to another rail by quickly moving the wiimote? Doesnt really sound like a game made for the wii. Just and idea ported to controls.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Not on the Wii!
Shenmue is a graphics game not an inovation game. That game NEEDS to be on 360/ps3...
Shenmue 3 needs to be one of the most beautiful games ever made. That's just it's style. - wisebob134, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No powerstone BE ASHAMED
- modifiedbears, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They should re-release Dreamcast games on Xbox Live Arcade because I like my re-releases to have on-line play. Project Justice + Xbox Live = A purchase by me.
- sirjimbob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3SHENMUE
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@inbred (#5948209)
http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/375 - hartley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You forgot that didn't come out on Dreamcast.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uh, as if PSP didn't have enough ports, re-releases and rehashes already...
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Weird, the first four on that list already have been ported to other systems...
5. Rez -> PlayStation 2
4. Chu Chu Rocket -> Gameboy Advance
3. Space Channel 5 (Part 2) -> PlayStation 2
2. Jet Set Radio (Future) -> Xbox
I'll give them Samba de Amigo. They are missing other genuinely non-ported Sega Saturn/Dreamcast masterpieces such as Panzer Dragoon Saga, NiGHTS (coming soon to Wii thankfully), Dragon Force, Shining Force III, and Seaman. - tom560, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Speaking of Dreamcast http://www.dcemulation.com has been taken over by the US gov.
Although it is April fools so who knows whats really going on - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Seaman 2 was announced for PS2 a LONG time ago, and it seems to have faded into vaporware, I wouldn't be surprised if the project revives as a Wii title.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The first Shenmue game was released for Dreamcast. While Shenmue 2 was for Xbox, it was originally released for Dreamcast in Japan and Europe, therefor looked like a Dreamcast game. If Shenmue 3 were to come out for the Wii, it would keep the same graphical style as its older brothers, and therefore have a common look across the franchise.
- hairlessape, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nvm, that was for saturn, Burning Rangers, that need to come to Wii VC
- billmarrs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2My picks:
Shenmue
Seaman
Omikron: The Nomad Soul - posure, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Samba de Amigo and Jet Set Radio for sure. ChuChu Rocket should be an XBLA game though (along with PowerStone 2, Ooga Booga, Bomberman Online, and many other Dreamcast games).
- SigmaDraconis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1San Francisco Rush 2049 and Daytona USA for Wii VC, please?
- TheNik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn, you guys have done made me want to play JS games again. :(
