Doom 4: End of the Game Industry?
pcmag.com — Am I the only one who expects a collapse of the gaming business soon? Does anyone else think that it is overdue? It has happened before, and I can't see how people will keep shelling out $50 or so for a video game when the games have hardly changed since the invention of the first-person shooter.

Why yes... yes you are.- cooltom2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don' think that gaming business will go down. But the guy who wrote this article had a point. Why do people buy the similar games. Doom,Doom 3, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4...etc. People are running out of ideas.
- subwarm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sorry, didn't mean to direct that at you. Dvorak posts these kind of speculative articles all the time.
- NiceGuyVan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Um, those games AREN'T similar. They had huge differences. The reason why people buy games that you think are similar, is because you're a moron who thinks pong and hockey are the same game.
