- knifesideleft, on 12/14/2007, -1/+17Was half expecting a video game about eating hot dogs
- chriskzoo, on 12/14/2007, -1/+14Shut up and eat some hot dogs, Kobayashi.
- Birdoftruth, on 12/14/2007, -0/+12Awesome straight forward interview. Number one was amazing and is the grand daddy of the genre (sorry GOW)
- DickyT83, on 12/14/2007, -0/+7I can never look at the name Kobayashi without referencing Kaiser Sozey in my mind.
- vervalsing, on 12/14/2007, -0/+3Me too.
- KnockoutNerd, on 12/14/2007, -0/+3Game looks great, I hope it holds up.
- Sniper, on 12/14/2007, -1/+3What crack are you on....PS2
- Megaten, on 12/15/2007, -0/+2Well, in regards to Metal Gear Solid 4 - all of them up until now, with the exception being MGS on the PS1, have been one-play games for me. I've loved them all, and I've picked them up here and there for a bit (like for getting dog tags in 2, reloading my save at The End's boss fight to do it again in 3, etc...). That doesn't mean they aren't great, but I personally never get too attached to them and want to play them over and over - it's just the nature of the games. Maybe with MG Online being bundled with it that'll change this time around.
And in regards to GTAIV, it'll certainly have a ton of value, but I'm in agreement with him on DMC4 being the big one for me. I dunno if you played through DMC3 or not on the PS2, but that game is crack. I've played all the worthwhile action games from last gen - Ninja Gaiden, Otogi, God of War, hell even a lot of the 'good' ones as well (Rygar, Shinobi, Gungrave, Blood Will Tell...etc...), but DMC has them all beat. The gameplay itself lends itself to multiple playthroughs. It's very similar to when Tony Hawk came out and people were amazed that they actually gave a damn about getting a high score again. For me, Devil May Cry 3 is the only game I've ever wanted to get an S or SS ranking on (well, and Panzer Dragoon 2 Zwei on the Saturn, but that's because Pandora's Box was the bee's knees)...really, who gives two damns if you get Master Ninja or Ninja Dog as your rank in Ninja Gaiden? There's no incentive...no point. DMC3 let you show off your rankings in all their glory, and anyone who played mission 18 on DMD mode can attest that an S on there MEANS something. The combat is just so fluid and jam-packed with testosterone...switching swords in midair and flinging enemies every other way...it's just addictive on a whole 'nother level. GTA4 is gonna be fun and all, but the games have always felt like B-grade crap strung together with a good atmosphere and fun writing. I'd never say the driving in it is 'good' per se, or that the gunplay controls well at all...but everything comes together in that game to just beat you over the head senseless with value and just sheer volume. That being said, I'd take the well honed and refined action of DMC4 over a goodie bag of decent stuff in GTA4. Which hell, might pull a MGS4 and make everything play much better than ever before. We'll see soon enough I figure. - b33b3s, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2I believe its been stated that you can switch styles on the fly now too, which should alter the gameplay considerably.
- imightbewrong, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1usual suspects?
- Mullinsmcd, on 12/14/2007, -1/+2Out of all the great releases in Q1 '08, DMC4 is definitely my most anticipated single player title.
- spiker12, on 12/14/2007, -2/+3Damn i was expecting kobayashi the hot dog guy
- ganymede2010, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1I'm still amazed by the first time I seen the game Trailer for Devil May Cry 1! Capcom pushed the PS2 to it's limits with that game.
- paul1young, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1I didn't especially digg Devil May Cry... yes , I know, sue me.
http://www.seoreef.com/ - inactive, on 12/14/2007, -1/+2I hope this new character has a real personality. Dante was awesome in DMC1, but in DMC2 he was a shell of his former self and wasn't that great in DMC3.
- davidjunit, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1What I wanted to hear the he said (paraphrased):
Between the PS3 and 360, they polys and textures will be exactly the same. - Exhaust, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1Seriously? You want to play this more than GTA IV or MGS4. Wow
- Nerolus, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1HIS NAME IS NERO?!
But...But...
My name...is Nero... =(((( - oncemoree, on 12/05/2008, -0/+0thank you so much for this video

http://world-of-warcraft-free-full-download.charle ... - inactive, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1Does anyone know if there's anything drastically added to make this nextgen? Seems like they have the same moves plus a few others, but nothing drastically different than graphics.
Just wondering because I loved DMC3, but all the footage I've seen looks like the same game as #3 but with better graphics. - theprince234, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1Summary : Kobayashi REALLY hopes you like his new main character.
- angrycat, on 12/14/2007, -3/+3I came here expecting stuff about hotdogs... disappointed :(
- JudgeMonkey, on 12/14/2007, -2/+1What more is there in this gen except improved graphics? And besides that, what more can you tell from game footage except graphics?
- AntBing, on 12/14/2007, -6/+2Originally created for the Genesis?!
- VonDarkmoor, on 12/14/2007, -4/+0Yeah, so sad really... their going to hold back true potential to make it more marketable to the general population... fun...
