- wilwheaton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Okay, I freaking LOVE the first Destroy All Humans. I think I played it for an entire weekend when I got it, stopping only for bathroom breaks (food was delivered to the couch.) Even though it was pretty easy to complete the whole game (about 12 hours for me the first time through), I hoped that they'd do a sequel that built upon what was already in the first game.
I watched all the bonus videos and crap on that Destroy All Humans disc, and it looked like most of their budget and time went into developing the engine for the game, rather than level design and working out complex missions, so hopefully the second one will be able to focus on making a deeper game instead of just making the game playable.
If you just compare the leap between GTA 3 and GTA:Vice City, I think we can hope for something really fantastic from DAH2.- MikeCampo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree, the game was fun, but I didn't take it to the extreme of having food delivered to me :p
- rimco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It was a clever game, but it has yet to really grab a hold of me... perhaps the sequel will do better. Personally, when I'm feeling that mid-20th century retro craving, I go for Stubbs the Zombie... they did an incredible job of giving it that 50's style, and besides, who doesn't love eating brains?
- destryallrobots, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times... Humans are "killed" robots are "destroyed". From the Penny-Arcade podcast, it would seem this game has about 10 minutes of interesting stuff before the concept wears thin. Anywho. Better to join, D.A.R that DAH! Just my humble opinion.
- Stormwysper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I loved the game too but felt it was a bit short and but I did enjoy it, especially all the references to other B movies. Plus it had a copy of Teenagers from Outer Space which I haven't seen since it was on MST3K.
Anyone remember Zombies Ate My Neighbors? That was a great B movie game. - wibblewibble, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Whats it called?
