- dn11, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1John Carmack definitely knows his *****, but it seems like he hasn't surrounded himself with people who are as talented as he is. I found this interview by 1UPs Sean Elliot somewhat revealing.

At one point Sean asks him who would he would love to have on a "dream team" for level design out of everyone in the industry. John says something to the effect that he doesn't really keep up with who the best designers are and just sticks to technology. Sadly, this has been very clear in all of Ids recent releases. In fact, I would say id has become less and less relevent dating all the way back to Half-Life.
