Crysis Primarily a PC Title, “Next-Gen” Consoles not Powerful Enough
breakitdownblog.com — The Crysis developers have recently stated that current "next-gen" systems (XBox 360 and PS3) are not powerful enough to run Crysis in it's fully intended DirectX 10 wonderment. While Crysis will support a DX9 version, there is no promise that it will be on any console at this point and is a Windows-Vista product at this point.

This is why PC gaming sucks. Long live gameplay!- rkalla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That is true, the desire to stay on the cutting edge is so expensive for PC computing, naturally you don't have to, like with a console, you can't. But the benefit of the console is the game can be optimized for *exactly* that hardware to give a more pleasing presentation sometimes than say the equivalent PC.
I think we can agree that the top of the line PC typically always outperforms the consoles at the time, but instead of it being a $400 purchase (Console) it's a $4000 purchase (high end PC). Ouch.
