- Hockey37, on 10/11/2007, -2/+40Camo dude is high.
- Couchy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+35Too bad a live game of breakout was probably the biggest highlight of the night for the movie-goers (yes i thought SM3 was a disappointment)
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+26not gunna lie, i woulda been the jackass going the opposite way.
- eaasness, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22Dude its California, its for medical purposes.
- Abno, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16Does he support human joysticks?
- Salgat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Some poor guy has to watch all those people and move the real joystick.
- edein, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15uh..how do we know the crowd is really controlling it? might just be some guy in the booth controlling it :p
- Blizzardman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Sure beats the ***** out of "The Twenty".
- emorphien, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11that's brilliant. I'd like to see theaters try more new and innovative things, especially since the experience has gotten so poor at many theaters and they're going to continue to struggle against home theaters where you can usually get better sound without spending even over $1000 in most cases and the price isn't enough to stop some from going for better picture.
Plus you can have as many intermissions as you'd like. - vhold, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6This is a totally valid question. I was expecting something that would show the crowd and give some feedback as to how the crowd was controlling it.
- Wratherin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I really question your choice in American friends.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I don't think MSNBC would fake something like this; but it would be very interesting to watch a crowd's "placebo" response, with just a prerecorded game. I would think the reaction would be almost identical, unless some whacko randomly convinced everyone to mutiny....
- esotericguy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+7 Mr. Digitalspeed, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in here is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
(all hail adam sandler) - FlapJaw, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3The pinnacle of human civilization
- Kingfisherx, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3We did this at Siggraph last year during the animation festival screening and it was awesome. They had another option there which turned the audience into a giant crowd controlled etch-a-sketch. That was some funny *****.
- tize, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1pretty neat
- eaasness, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I was actually there opening night. It was more fun than watching 20 min of commercials. IMHO The Bridge is the best theater around. http://www.thebridgecinema.com/home/home.asp?l=7801
- Raian, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1What's up with that horrible soundtrack
- hulez, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0I don't think the crowd was controlling this game. I think the game was controlling them.
Talk about Mind Control. Everyone in that cinema were all Lemmings. hehe. - akula89, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1/lisp there is no better family entertainment then that you guys, thank you thank you!!! /lisp
- Balk2K, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Do you actually have intermissions in America? I've never been to a movie here in Australia where there's been an intermission
Perhaps there should be an intermission/group-breakout-game time? - cyclox, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0lamesauce to watch but a halfway cool idea.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1"I would think this was probably the only thing that made going to see Spiderman 3 enjoyable."
qft - gadgetboy32, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0OMG. That's like across the street from where I live.
- dugR, on 10/11/2007, -7/+3lmao who let the crack head into the theater
- Scheissen, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2They should come up with a better game (like they're own) that makes sense when you have this many people.
- Jonmad17, on 10/11/2007, -7/+1My mind has been blown.
- quinnmct, on 10/11/2007, -8/+2...well that was pretty sweet...pretty sweet indeed.
- themastersb, on 10/11/2007, -9/+1What is it about a cinema called "The Bridge" that I find creepy?
- theblt, on 10/11/2007, -12/+3I doubt this actually uses motion sensors. It's probably a static video feed. But it's a brilliant idea to get these idiots watching SM3 something to do.
- digitalspeed, on 10/11/2007, -26/+1Most Americans I know wouldn't bother. I can see it now, "Ok everyone this means you have to stand up and move around a little bit"
"WHAT?! HE WANTS US TO GET UP?!! OUTRAGOUS! sry not happening too busy with nachos and pop/coke/soda/other " - Gazerock, on 10/11/2007, -34/+7Ron Paul
