How To Setup my Own Privat Server:
First of all you need to download 3 Files, the Repack, the Addons and the WoW Patch.
While Downloading these files you need to read the instructions, otherwise you will mess up everything.
Now lets start, download the following files:
NOTE: This WoWEmu runs on the 1.8.x versions, but has all new models from the 1.9.x versions.

Guide:
Remeber first of all before following this guide you need a 1.8.x patch installed!!!
When done downloading these files do the following:
Install the WoWEmu and the WoWEmu Addons, the Addons must be placed in the WoW folder!
Then you open the folder where you installed the WoWEmu in and do the following:
FIRST: go to the "maps" folder and run the BATCREATOR
SECOND: run DButil, go to exclusive mode, edit accounts, fill in all YOUR info, set the Plevel to 6, and click the ADD/REPLACE button.
THIRD: right click the WoWEmu Registration Entry and do edit then you will see this:

Do not change anything else or you will ruin your WoWEmu
When you have done that we move to the 1.9.2_Patcher you run it and wait till its finished.
And last but not least, the WoWEmu Addons:
You go to the folder where you extracted the WoWEmu Addons, then you select them all and you copy or cut them, both is ok. When you copied or cut the Addons, you move to your Worlf of Warcraft folder, open the Interface folder, open the Addons folder, DELETE all that is inside the Addons folder (accept the Blizzard Addons) and you paste the Addons you just copied of cut into there.
Then for people who are realy new to this, if you are a Advanced WoWEmu user, you dont need to read this.
How to Connect:
You go to your World of Warcraft folder and you open the "realmlist.wtf" you can do this with any TXT programm like word or notepad. then you will see something like this:
set realmlist
now for people to connect to your server they need to put in this:
set realmlist
dont forget to put the server IP so, lets say your IP is 10.0.0.0 you need to do this:
set realmlist 10.0.0.0
How can people create an account:
Ok this one is very easy, as soon as the WoWEmu is finished with loading you will see this:

When that has passed your screen, you can go to http://:8080 and then create your account. This time also dont forget to put the server IP there, so if the IP is 10.0.0.0 you will get:

- MacDaddy62, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would just like to point out that in Blizzard's official response, posted above by nomotive07, Blizzard never actually claims that anything about the emulated servers, themselves, is illegal. Rather, they attempt to mislead you into believing that the servers are illegal by associating them with illegal copies of the World of WarCraft client. They do have a legal argument, however, albeit a weak one, which is that the development and existence of these servers encourages the distribution of pirated copies of the game, and thus the servers should be considered illegal. Such an argument would not, in my un-professional opinion, stand in any court, as I can't believe that Blizzard has much of anything to back it up.

-You have an active account to Play on a public server. Then and only then are you legally allowed to use the software.
-You do not allow any one else on that server that does not have an active account to play on a public server.
The fact to have an active account is crucial, you agree to this E.U.L.A. when installing the game.
If you are:
-Using your server when you do not have a active useraccount
-Grant access to your server to people not having an active useraccount
You are indeed violating the EULA, and if they catch you they can sue you for pretty large fines and even jail terms up to 4 years, especially if you granted access to your server for other non-paying players. For that last part, you must remember that your provider is legally obliged to make such traffic data available if it is demanded by Sabam (Belgium) or wathever copyright-watchgroup is in your country.
There is no support at all for private servers from Blizzard, even for active members, and you are advised to be wary with people offering you to set up your own private server. Donations to the server does not count. and if you have a Virtual server running off of 127.0.0.1 your fine anyway because unless you are LAN-lined with anyone not a person can access it So NO a private server does not break any laws or treaties or any BS like that.

Hello people,
Man, I'v been quiet busy, lots of people asking about these server lately, so I made this up for the people to stop emailing me. Hope this answers some questions.
This is a short tutorial in how to get into private servers, If you have any problems just tell me what you are having problems with, and I'll help, I can even set up your own account if your that lazy.
This is the site where you can see lots and lots of private servers all around the world

But for now, because I find this easier, I'll try get your account working on a Aussie private server, this is the server I am on.
1. Firstly go to this site http://illusionz.game-server.cc:8090/index.html
2. Go there, using Internet Explorer ONLY! and sign up to the forums Firstly, once you have done that then you can create a username and password in the box to the right side of the screen, just put a username an password that you can remember ( REMEMBER this will be your login username and password in WoW) and YOUR email, Once you have done that click create.
* then your done, that will be your log-in and username in WoW
1. Then you want go into your WoW file, "E:Program FilesGamesWorld of Warcraft" or something similar, in there you will find a file called "realmlist.wtf" , then you want to open it up with notepad or something similar (Mircosoft Word or Wordpad, you get the point) and change what it says in that file to
* "set realmlist illusionz.game-server.cc" Then save
1. this bit "illusionz.game-server.cc" is what you will see at the top of the page in the address bar of the link I gave you above. Your never want to change the "set realmlist " part, just the bit after.

See what I mean, that is just the servers IP.
Now once you've done that Save that file, and exit.
Now If you have WoW version 1.8.0 or higher, you should be able to go into WoW, start it up, and put in the username and password that you created on the right hand-side of that page before, after you have done that click LOG IN
It should then log you in, if it doesn't I'll go over that in a sec. But if you get logged in, you want to choose a server, Its just the American realm server thing you see there, and click connect of something, then it should connect, then you create your character, and go back and double click on your character, and you go into the amazing World of Warcraft.
But if this doesn't happen, what you want to do is firstly see if the servers up. this can be viewed at the page

If you can see a GREEN smiley face, this means the server is up
If you see a RED smiley face, this means the server is down
The server goes down about once every hour, because of memory leeks with the emu the server is using so don't worry about this.
Also, because the server goes down every now and then it has to regularly save World of Warcarft, so If you are going to attack a monster, and your guy/chick isn't doing anything (isn't attacking, remember you can still walk around so it's sometimes hard to tell when this is happening, monsters don't attack you when this is happening either) this is because the world is saving, it takes about 1 minute.

Now that Private server you asked about, as ai said befor, I never got mine working, but doesn't mean I don't know what to do, firstly you need to tell me What version of WoW you have, I'm going to assume you have version 1.5.0 at this point, even though you may have version 1.8.x

Yes i did get it to work, No i didnt need anyone elses help to do it. I DID leave teh link I used on the page. All you have to do is read, dont try and tell me its not there. I liked helping people with this at first, but thanks to many people who cant apperciate the time spent to help people, and are fuking rude as hell when you cant help them, I take myself out. If you cant read simple posts or follow SIMPLE, STEP by STEP instructions, you DESEREVE to suffer the fate of all the other stupid people in the world who spend their lives paying $15.00 a month to play. Better yet try going outside for a while and get some fresh air.

Open Dbutil go to exclusive mode and clear the DB
WoW Registration Entry Fix
Open the Folder Options and make shure that the extentions are visible to you
then the WoW Registration Entry (wowemu.key) is next to the wowemu launcher (wowemu.exe)

wowemu.key
for people who want a OFLINE server don't use your own ip but use this ip:
127.0.0.1
this is a special ip that your pc only can connect so you put this ip the WoWEmu Registration Entry and in your realmlist.

for people who think they cannot download the file... learn to read firts on boith of them is a waiting time between 0 and 60 seconds so youll have to wait, at rapidshare you need to typ a code given by a picture and at megaupload you can just click the download link after the time has passed
