    • gweedo767, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Gamestop hasn't even started pre-orders yet so you are in luck. They are expected to start the first week of October, so you can get in on it then.

      Also, Nintendo of Canada has said that 1 million units will come to North America at launch, there should be plenty to go around :)
    • Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Same here, Gamestop/EBGames has not started their pre-orders yet in this area either. They state that they will attempt to avoid their fiasco of last year's XBox360s by not taking pre-orders until they have definitive numbers about how many they will be getting (at least that's what the store manager says around here). Then, when they do take pre-orders, it will only be for the number they will be receiving on first shipment. Further pre-orders will take place on a notified "second-order" list (where the customer will know they get theirs on second shipment). And so on.

      My manager is pretty good about keeping up his end of the deal so I'm not too worried. I feel sorry for those who won't though, and we know there will be someone out there who pulls something shady.
    • ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I was at Target at 8am on the launch day of the DS Lite. My town has 120,000+ people in it, and I figured target would be a pretty underground place to get it because everyone else thinks of EBGames, Besbuy, etc. Plus, they opened earlier.

      At 8:00, myself and a kid (about 12 yr old) and his mom were the only people in the store. Kinda made me feel a little silly. I hope to have the same luck with the Wii though.

    • madjo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1According to the news sources I read, Wii game prices are between 49 and 59 euros. Though, I can't find a definitive price for the launch titles. But that 74.99 doesn't sound right at all to me. Where did you get that information? (Just curious)

    • Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I figured on 0800 for the store nearest me for the Xbox360, little did I know (and little did they tell us till the parents started screaming) that they opened the doors early (like 0500 early) for the people that were lined up earlier than us, and then closed back up without telling or notifying the mass of people waiting outside.

      Ever seen a clerk get mobbed by angry parents? NOT a pretty sight, especially since they found out the clerks had "bought" 6 of their own (2 of them) before the store even opened the first time.

      P.s. This was at a non-pre-order store.

    I think if you were to remove the background, it would look a lot better. Or maybe right align a larger picture of the Wii/remote, and pin it in plce so it doesn't scroll with the page. Just a thought.
