Personally, I'd like to see this guy get his hands on the wii... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+44Still sucks if your the drummer for Def Leppard
- patrickweber, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34I believe he meant wiitar.
- bowe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Nah, I bet he'd still kick your ass with one hand.
- razmig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22because nintendo wanted to change and or replace the way drummers make music, right?
- thegsa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Attention Fellow Diggers
I Shall Start The First Wii Powered Band, I Swear! - Kiel, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14i wanna try 4 ,with 2 taped to my feet :)
- jmacdonagh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Looks great. Now if only they could play the drums. ;)
- freewifi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9It needs the shoes. Nike+Nintendo please. Imagine double tapping the brake as you setup for a corner in (X)racing game or doing a Chuck Norris on someones face in (Y)karate game. It won't be long before you'll be plugging your shoes into a USB hub at night. Tony Hawk is all about the feet... Just do it ..
- Eaglefire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I was there to try out the Wii at E3. It takes quite a bit of speed to trigger the drums, and without a bouncy surface it's really kind of painful to stop the motion in a flicking gesture. I wasn't able to keep it up for very long without getting some serious wrist pain.
That said, if they turn the sensitivity up it would probably be very fun and much less painful. - jonathantneal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Ooooo, neat, but now I'm really curious to know how to do a snare roll, if there's any force-feedback involved, and how hard my wiimote can hit an object before it breaks and I cry at my utter stupidity. Did you notice that when he seemed to be putting his hand down, it registered a hit? You know what, that's just so awesome that I don't even consider it a flaw. So Happy. :) Thanks Cliff.
- Nyfeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8lol I love that clip...
[Looks to camera] This is rock and roll. - Mudhoney, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Heh, judging game consoles on how the players look, great job buddy.
- EpicCrusadr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9If he's a spammer, why the hell does his stuff always get to the front page?
- romainechester, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Wow... PS3 fanboys never give up do they... If using a Wii makes me gay then call me one once I get my hands on it. I'm no fanboy or anything, if I only had $600 I'd probably get a PS3. If it happens that Nintendo does get the consumer majority then you're the one that's gonna look gay. Oh well... I'm digging this guy up. Makes for more hurting.
- gingerchris, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9He's a drummer who lost his arm in a crash but still continued drumming in a band that still is one of the biggest selling British bands in the US. Show him some respect.
- bryant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Awesome.
- h4lofourt33n, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Cool video but those guys are obviously not drummers.
- akilleen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Haha, wow, that guy can rock the keyboard drums.
- renegade334, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5hehe, he gets closer and closer to the keyboard as he plays, ah well, at least he can't hit himself in the face with drumsticks
- walugi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4If they got some pros to play it then it'd make an ultimate viral ad campaign! Nintedo comes through with the goods... again.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Get your comment spam out of here, you *****.
- henrah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Thanks for the update I look forward to hearing more lovable anecdotes from the michaelb1 houshold!
- IronKurton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3lol "ladies and gentlemen, this is rock n roll -- one, two, TREE, four." Freakin awesome
- mycatsboots, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6@bowe
As dedicated as he is to continue drumming (read: triggers) he isn't all that good of a drummer, nor was he ever one of the rock drummers that people cited when they wanted to compare themselves to someone good. - jeffbailey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3OH man... that made my day... that guy is a badass with that keyboard!
- angelwspr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6u mean wiiguitar... ;p
- rockintom99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Who needs a keytar when they could rock out on a wiitar?
- Tom_Riddle, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5LMAO
THAT WAS ***** AWESOME
LMAO - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I though that too but if you look closely its the other guy on the left starting as the other guy is stopping
- Trjn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"Yeah, right, we never give up what? Posting endless items about our console on Digg?? It's you turds who are ramming your wii-motes up everyone's cakeholes while we are busy trying to read about real tech news here"
Ever done a search to see how many articles mentioning the PS3 are around and how many mentioning the Wii?
135 pages using default search settings for PS3
98 pages using default search settings for Wii
People just care about the Wii more, thus the stories actually get dugg. - LycoLoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Oh my god. Dude...that's just freakin nuts. At the beginning of the video I was thinking "Yeah, but who could actually play drums using a keyboard?" I guess I found my answer at the end...
- bowe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This is great. I want air guitar!
- renegade334, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2can u imagine? a few wiis connected to a speaker system, seach wii a different instrument. (wiitar, drums, wiibass, wiiboard (keyboard) etc...
I wonder if you could get a decent sound out of that? it would be a whole new genre of music.
You would have to put wii infront of the genre. So we have rock and wii-rock, we have jazz and we have wii-jazz.
Some how wii-death metal doesn't sound right - Mudhoney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow, from what I've heard they didn't let visitors play the drum demo and some other games. I thought only the nintendo guys in the rotating rooms got to play them, plus a few press.
- AETAaAS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks like a lot of fun... motion sensor working well there? or is it luck that you will get the right drum on the third try?
- Mudhoney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Heh, it's a cool demo and all but don't expect too much out of a drum sim. At least not one that's just a demo for E3. :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'd like to see Taylor Hawkins, Dave Grohl and Travis Barker test this thing.
- LycoLoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Jesus christ man, seriously, can't you just let one Wii-related digg go untouched by your trolling methods? Yes, we get it, you are getting a PS3. We get it, you don't like the Wii. WE GET IT. Now shut the ***** up.
- xXShadowstormXx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great video. Dugg.
- coldfusion1970, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks sweet.
I cant wait to try the Revolution controller. - tutivlahos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think remote/nunchuck.
- ThankTheCheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can't tell from the video: is each person using 2 wii remotes, or are they using the remote/nunchuck combo?
- kuyakew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cool, but that was the worst drumming i have ever heard.
- aniseed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks kinda random swinging. Like you could easily trigger a drum-sound but couln't actually swing the wii-mote accurately enough to make a beat.
- dunstdunst, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://wii-wii.us
- rockintom99, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3People playing DDR look like idiots... how many versions for the playstation are there again?
- Namingishard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How are we going to use the pedals?
looks great, but if we don't have bass and hithat pedals controll then boooo - Triangler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1absolutely wicked!
I want this! - FluffyArmada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can you play a good roll on it?
