- Ashkc88, on 11/24/2007, -1/+25This is a really great DS game, I suggest anyone who has a DS go pick it up. Not only is it a great classic game, but it comes packed with the original Contra and Super Contra as an unlockable, as well as many other things such as challenge modes. One of the best DS games I've bought.
- BroncoKid, on 11/24/2007, -1/+20dugg for "extra mans" :)
- Polly, on 11/24/2007, -0/+14It's a joke on the infinite lives trick in Super Mario Bros.
- Takkyu, on 11/24/2007, -0/+7So you have to divide by zero...
- Ashkc88, on 11/24/2007, -1/+7I have a PSP too, what's your point?
- cherwilco, on 11/24/2007, -0/+5he's jumping on a turtle shell
- honeymustardn, on 11/24/2007, -1/+6Good thing the DS can emulate the NES then! :D
- JigoroKano, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4Ah the glory of unsigned integers. They have literally killed people in the past, but developers never learn.
- honeymustardn, on 11/24/2007, -1/+4The Konami code contains Start, the Contra code does not. So... yeah.
- ayeroxor, on 11/24/2007, -4/+7Wow, what's that?! Some brand new code we wouldn't already know? Gee, thanks! Somehow, I feel you have enlightened us all.
- MrZaiko, on 11/24/2007, -2/+5up up down down left right left right B A (SELECT) start. It was almost near-orgasmic when I got it right.... I still wonder if it still has that same effect now
- zeroEDGE, on 11/24/2007, -3/+6Too bad for fanboys huh, they're stuck with their one console.
- benburned, on 11/24/2007, -0/+2damnit, if only it could have been a truck you just dump stuff on
- sparkmonkeyz, on 11/24/2007, -0/+2what? the orgasm or the code?
- Ashkc88, on 11/24/2007, -1/+3Actually, the code is just "up up down down left right left right b a." "Select" chooses how many players, and "start" starts the game. If you put in the code, you'll notice you can press select as many times as you want before pressing start and the game will still give you the extra lives. Also, why do we have to see the code every time a story is about Contra?
- Polly, on 11/24/2007, -0/+2That's pretty typical though. They pretty much had to issue preview and review copies with 99 lives in effect already because most reviewers or journalists can't be bothered to try and inch their way through the game because it's just plain brutal when you st art out until you learn what's coming up.
The promo shots from Contra: Hard Corps I saw in magazines back in 1994 for Genesis were the same. The code did legitimately work for Hard Corps but only in the Japanese version and only gave you 70 lives.
Useless trivia, yay! - peestandingup, on 11/24/2007, -1/+3Make a Contra game for Wii!
- Megatog615, on 11/24/2007, -1/+3Dugg for "series of tubes."
- poxonyou, on 11/25/2007, -0/+2I agree. Original style, except with 2 screens. No unnecessary use of the stylus. Fun, but challenging, even on easy mode.
- supremesonic, on 11/24/2007, -0/+2I get the feeling that reference was only added in the hope of cheap diggs.
Congratulations, sir, for falling for it. - Ashkc88, on 11/24/2007, -0/+1I mean "contain," not "contrain." (caught it after the edit time ran out)
- Ashkc88, on 11/24/2007, -0/+1Actually, the Konami code doesn't contrain Start. So... yeah.

- Polly, on 11/24/2007, -0/+1It's a bug that was discovered day one. Hell it happened to me after using my first continue. It was well over a week after the game's release before anyone actually figured out how it occurred.
- Polly, on 11/24/2007, -2/+2Nope, never. You got me! I only play The Sims and Nintendogs!
- morningmatters, on 11/25/2007, -1/+1Isn't it a bit too early for april fools joke?
- FerrisYJ, on 11/24/2007, -2/+2well, they had it in the sneak previews for it :
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/7930 ... - synce, on 11/24/2007, -5/+1What's the ***** point of playing game if you have to cheat at it in order to win? People have too much time on their hands.
- doshindude, on 11/24/2007, -11/+6Hm....series of tubes...? Internet?
- egonSchiele, on 11/24/2007, -6/+2what is the guy from contra doing in super mario?
