Does anybody see any Wii code checkins on the mozilla site?
Getting Opera on the Wii wasn't free for Nintendo, why would they pay more for a second browser?
Who would code this up anyway? The coder structure at mozilla doesn't really seem like it's set up to take large scale projects from other companies. - worbd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Make no mistake about it, this story is *****. It's just a desperate attempt by this site to grab people's attention and get more readers.

"Is Firefox really being ported to Wii?
In one word: No."

- sashomasho, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3i doubt that nintendo will do this, i have wii and love it, i also use firefox all the time and love it too, and this will be in no doubt a killer combo, but such step is going to break their closed policy about the abilities to run a homebrew software on the wii. this could not be done without some efforts from the mozilla developers, and i suppose that there are some of them that have wii and that will use some of their new knowledge to break the wii security.
- JoyrexJ9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This isn't going to happen - face it.
- CheapyD, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Someone from mozilla posted on the site.
"Christopher Beard Says:
We’ve not spoken with or are working on a port of Firefox to the Wii. However, we’d be interested in having that discussion. ;-)" - Korexz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Opera is a superior browser anyway.
I have actually switched to Opera from Firefox since using the beta on my Wii and going out of my way to get the DS Browser.
No Memory Leaks.
90% of the plugins/extensions/addons I used were included in the binary.
I prefer the shortcut keys to that of IE and FF.

Seriously, I'm not trying to evangelize or anything, but you might want to try it out. - tensvb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11. Make a false statement about Firefox and Nintendo cooperation.

Just released this Wii-based theme for the fans out there. - trunk8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I hope this is true, but I hate self-proclaimed "confirmed" articles that don't site their source. Marked as inaccurate.
- TobbisBlog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Opera is the best!
Why should Firefox be on Wii, too? It doesn't make sense. - TriangleMan82, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I can't wait to see Firefox on my Wii. I also can't wait to download iTunes on it. oh the possibilities!!!
- clickclickpop, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1wow, the firefox haters are already saying this is BS. go use IE user123 you moron. Anyways, I'm excited about this because I can't wait to really use the Wii to its full potential with the 50wpm+ predictive text input
- RushN, on 10/12/2007, -11/+1Wii + Firefox = Death.
